Hello/Kia Ora Bloggers
My name is Royehl and today i am going to talk about my experience launching our second water rockets.
First we got our rocket that we have been designing for the past two weeks. Then we headed outside to the blue courts near room 11 and 12 with room 1.
There at the courts we set up the launch pad, room 1 and 2 had to line up with their team and wait for their turn, when it was almost our turn we went to go fill our rocket up with water, we put 450 milliliters in our rocket then we got back in line.
When it was our turn we put a little parachute on our rocket then we put our rocket on the launch pad, after that we put on our safety vest and our safety goggles to keep us safe, we first pumped up our rocket with psi ( pound-force per square inch ) which made a lot of pressure that it cause the rocket to have a lot of thrust, then we launched it.
Most rockets went forward but ours went backwards and our parachute didn’t even deploy but surprisingly we got 24 steps away from the launch pad and then we found out that we tied with another group and we both came first place in room 2 class.
This is a picture of my group and this is when we were pumping psi in our rocket.
I have a question for you, if you launched a rocket how many steps do you think it will go.
thank you for taking your time to read my blog hoped you enjoyed.
