Last night, most of the intermediates of my school travelled all the way to Parakiore Recreation and Sports Centre in the middle of Christchurch just to shine like a star. We have been practising all term long for the Dancing like the Stars programme and yesterday evening was the special moment to be the star. Our performance was different. Most people from other schools just… dance, but our school? We perform tricks with diabolos, ribbons and hula hoops. We rehearsed many times as circus lessons. We were blessed with such cool knowledge, equipment, and awesome instructors. We got t-shirts, representing the programme and our school. I thought we did fantastic, having a whole term’s worth of hard work paid off. I loved learning how to do the diabolo and having a go at trying the ribbons and diabolo near the start of the term. Unfortunately, I was unable to make it to the performance and so I didn’t get to finish learning all the tricks.
What do you think you would rate our performance from 1 (worst) to 10 (best)?
