In today’s lesson, we learned about the ear and how we hear through it, and what’s inside our ear.
First, headphones convert electrical signals into sound by a process named electromagnetism and physical vibration. How it works is first the song you’re listening to makes an electrical current that sends into the headphones, then through a wire which changes the electrical signals into the sound waves we can hear that goes into the ear and hits your eardrum, making it vibrate and travel to the three small bones which go through the cochlea, into the nerve and up to the brain which knows its suond and makes the music your hearing thruogh headphones.
How does the cochlea convert sound waves into electrical signals
The cochlea converts sound waves into electrical signal waves by a process called auditory mechanotransduction.
