Science – how we hear sounds!

Hello bloggers! In today’s blog we are gonna talk about how we hear sounds.

First step – Sounds waves through your ear canal to your eardrum and cause it to vibrate.

Second step – The vibrations travel from your eardrum to your ossicles.

Second step – Our ossicles send the vibrations to your cochlea.

Fourth step – The tiny hair cells vibrate and send messages to your auditory nerve.

Fifth step – Our brain receives this information and translates it into sound. In other words, our brain is where your senses of hearing come to life.

That’s how it works.

Why does the cochlea convert vibrations into electrical signals? – The cochlea converts sound vibrations into electrical signals because the brain can only understand electrical messages. By translating these movements into electrical codes, the brain can decode the signals and understand what you are hearing.
