Hi,this week we have been learning about the commonwealth games and we got to choose one country from common wealth games to research about and I chose Samoa.
What I found challenging was that there were so many slides to get through but I got there in the end.
What do you know about Samoa?
This week instead of doing a national day or fact of the day we had to pick a country and research a bunch about that country because my teachers nephew is going to be in the commonwealth games but that’s not the point my country was Trinidad and Tobago. It was actually really interesting to find out all that stuff about this country.Have you ever heard of Trinidad and Tobago?
This week my class had to do something called a country fact file and I chose cyprus as my county and I loved finding the facts do you know any one from cyprus so here it is hope you like it
Hello, today I am going to show you a slide show on Pakistan
—which is a very fascinating country.
We learnt this because we needed to choose a country from the common wealth games and study it, we also had to pick one we have never heard of before—which for me was Pakistan.
I found it challenging to find the right images for some of the slides.
Do you know any facts about the common wealth games? What are they?
Last week Room 4 had learnt about climate change. We learnt that there is a bubble around the earth that reflects the Sun from boiling the earth. If we poison the earth over time the bubble around the earth will make holes. Which is not good for us because it would be to hot to even go outside. We also learnt that grass makes oxygen like trees. But for a human to have oxygen for one day a square which is five meters wide and five meters long.

I loved learning about Nauru because it’s my second time learning about a coral atoll. Have you been to Nauru or a coral atoll? Do you enjoy learning about atoll? I think it’s amazing! If you like atoll you can read this slide!
All of the Year 4s went to Ōtaki College on Tuesday. We watched a play about Matariki. They were singing about Matariki. They had stars on them and the Principal was yelling at the big kids in the play. I thought it was fun because there was an explosion. We got back to school safely. By Kaizah
In Room 6 we are learning about rounding in Maths, it was on Wednesday in my class.
Numbers that go down the slide are 1 2 3 4 and the numbers that go up the branch are 5, 6 ,7, 8 and 9. So if you have 44 it would be 40 and if you have 56 it goes to 60.
I found this learning fun because I like learn something new.

Yesterday, Waitohu School went to the Haruatai Park, to do a soccer tournament. First, we walked down to Haruatai Park. It was my team’s turn to play first, we versed WRM boys. We lost by 1 point and they got 3 points. Next, we played against WRM Girls. After that, we had a break. I bought some lollies. Next, we versed Manakau School. They were very good players and we got 3 points and they got 2. Next we played against Waitohu School Girls (us)! Then we played against WRM boys again! Then we won
we all got so excited. I bought a sausage sizzle and a lollipop to celebrate! Then we walked back to school.

Today I completed a slide all about Gambia. In our class we had to pick a country that is allowed in the Common Wealth Games. Our class did this so we can improve knowing about different countries and geography. I think this was really fun to do even if it took really long to do. Do you like my research slides about The Gambia?
Hi, I made a a research of the day about chickens. This one wasn’t that hard, and it was one of my favorites. I hope you now know more about chickens like I do, BYE!
On Tuesday the 23rd of June some of the year 4, 5 and 6 students went to the Interschool soccer tournament. In my team was. Lincoln, Talon, Jack, Anders, Anson, Spencer, Alex, Harrison, and Markell. First when the bell rang we all went to the hall and Matua Main got us to line up in our teams. Once we were all in our lines we started to walk down then when we got down there my team was the first team to play and Mr Ward was our coach. We won most of our games and we only lost 1. So we made it to the final against Ōtaki school and we had to do golden goal where your coach has to pull a player off each minute. We ended up with Jack and Alex and Alex got us the winning goal.

On Tuesday the twenty-third of June, some of the year Fours, fives, and sixes of Waitohu school went to Haruatai park for the football/soccer tournament. We walked about 2.5km and probably even more. We won the first few rounds. During the sixth round the opposing team and my team got 0 goals. So we had to rematch, and the opposing team and my team got 0 goals. So we had a golden goal, which is where we keep going until one of the teams scores a goal. My team didn’t get a goal, but the opposing team did. I was ticked off. I was ticked off.
On Tuesday we had a new teacher in class. Do you want to know who it is… Her name was Whaea Tubs/Whaea Harata. After we did some work we went to lunch 1 minute early the lunch was super yummy. When we came back to class. Siobhan read us a book it was really cool then we had room 5 kids come in then we did some art.
