WALT: Add Appositives and Adverbial Phrases.
We are learning about Adverbial phrases and Appositives. An adverbial phrase is when you use adjectives to describe a verb. An appositive is an adjective describing a noun. To Practice using Appositives and Adverbial Phrases, we would write a six sentence story. Here is my Story.
Deep in the heart of a woodland forest, an Elf called Lily lived in a huge oak tree, with roots growing deep in the earth and a canopy piercing the skies. Lily had a special necklace with a potion that could repel things, sending them far, far away. One cloudy, damp morning, Lily was sitting on a toadstool, watching her animal friends when without warning a wild boar came charging towards her home. Her heart thumped as panic built up inside her. Lily decided this was the time, she splashed some of her potion on the boar. Bang, a sound louder than thunder rippled through the forest as the boar went flying through the forest, never to be seen again.
