The dog and the snail
One hot sunny summer day, a speedy dog bragged constantly about how speedy it was, the snail was tired of hearing the dog bragging about its speed so the snail challenged him, the dog laughed as infectious as a yawn.
The next day, the race began. The Hare dashed ahead, leaving the snail far behind in a cloud of dust. Looking back, the dog realized he had won the race easily so he decided to stop, rest, and take a quick nap under a tree as tall as a giraffe.
A while later the snail had finally caught up and found that the dog had fallen into a deep deep sleep. A while later the dog had finally woken and saw the snail about to cross the line, the dog rushed up and realised that it was too late and the snail won the race. Now let’s call it a day.
The moral of the story is: It’s not good to brag about how good you are.
