This week the year 6 students have started a novel study. The book is called Charlie Tangaroa and the creature from the sea. It’s about a boy with a prosthetic leg
and his brother finding a strange creature on the beach. We have begun doing activities related to the book, like a character description profile, fluency tasks and a story map. We’ve also done QAR questions. When you do those questions, you must read them properly otherwise you won’t understand. Lou has been reading us chapters from the book. (Some of the words are a bit naughty!) And when she does, I feel very engaged and interested when I’m learning about this novel study and It’s been a lot of fun!
