What is an Opinion Piece
An opinion piece is where the writer of the piece covers the topic truthfully and supplies facts but also demonstrates a clear opinion on where they stand on the topic they are covering and almost try and sway the reader into listening or believing that persons opinion.
I’m not sure where I stand on this topic although I am concerned for New Zealand I also think that we as humans are known to hype up news and in this case I still believe that the Corona Virus is not a major threat as it appears to be. What I do believe is that we need to stand strong as a country and be prepared to act quickly if the Corona virus escalates.

Here is a link to an editorial that I read:https://www.stuff.co.nz/opinion/119385975/coronavirus-a-matter-of-when-not-if
I partly agree with the author of this article and think that there should be more done to stop the coronavirus, but there was no need to attack the government. The author of the article said that our government needed to do more to stop the coronavirus and they needed to act quickly. I agree with this, but they wrote it in quite an aggressive way that sounded like they were having a go at the government.

My understanding of Human Rights and Social Justice
1. What insights did I have into ‘Human Rights’ and ‘Social Justice’ as I learned about how others are treated in other countries?
People or civilians in other countries that do not have enough resources to support their country or continent are unable to uphold rights because it would be unfair. In some cases people who are richer in these poor countries have more rights than poor people who live in the streets.
2. What questions about Human Rights and Social Justice do I need answering?
Why do richer and higher standing people have more rights than people who live in the streets. Is it because they are greedy and want more power. I think they don’t want to share their power and money because they are scared of what the people can do.
