The fam and I had always planned to go and stay in a big fancy hotel overseas. We never really got the chance to go because of work and school. We invited my grandparents because they always came over to our house to visit us and stay with us so it would be rude if we didn’t invite them. For some reason Grandma didn’t seem interested.. But Grandma is always excited to come on trips and go to new places? It was very strange and suspicious of her to not want to come with us. She was obviously up to something.
W.T.E Mad Monday
Its visiting night
Tonight my family has to go see our Grammy and gram pa at the retirement home this is one of the most embarrassing days because i know as soon as i get there i will get the biggest kiss from Grammy so me and my dad try to hide in the car whenever we go there but this time mum is making us come in but don’t get me wrong i live them but there very clingy but i love talking to her about everything that’s happening with my life but otherwise there pretty cool grand parents .
The Sneaky Kids
When grandma came over she said that she came from New York and after a few days she would go back.
The kids wanted to go to New York so when it was the day the grandma was leaving they got into her biggest luggage and stayed in there.
Grandma knew that they where into no good so she left her luggage there until there parents opened the luggage.
“What are you guys doing in there” mum said.
We wanted to go to New York with grandma.
Sorry kids but grandma already left to New York.
Maybe next time Ok
Ok.
Mad Monday
When it was morning, the McCrawley family went on holiday to bora bora. While they were getting the tickets they did a headcount to see if everyone was there, Kaia was there, Daisy was there, and mum and dad, but where was grandma at. They got a phone call saying that grandma Sue wasn’t feeling so well, so they booked 4 tickets to bora bora, and grandma was having the time of her life at home. As they arrived at bora bora grandma brang some of her friends over to play bingo and knitting some socks. As they were in bora bora they all just changed into their swimsuits and we went for a swim in the ocean, grandma just wished it was like that for the whole day.

Ten years time my career
Walt think about the future
I will probably want to be in the army and sas. But after the army in to rugby like the All Blacks or super rugby. I will like to be a sniper or a foot soldier in the army. I don’t know what I want to be for that I would stay at this school Otaki college until I finish school. And then head off to the army. I always wanted to be apart of the army when I was younger. so that is what I want to be in ten years time hopefully this works out. Who will help me on my way through everything probably my parents and family. I will be in the army because I really want to be in the army
Where do I want to be in 10 years
I am 12 years old in 10 years I will be 22 years old. When I turn 22 i would hopefully nearly be a lawyer and I can start working on cases. I will have to work hard got to university then law school. To get there I would need to get all my grades and assessments correct and get a pretty good score on those. I will always have my mum and dads support and my families support and friends, also my sister is a lawyer so she will be a great help is well.
What I want to be in 10 years
What I want to be in 10 years? I want to be a vet.
Why I want to be a vet? I love animals, I also love helping animals. I had a cat 2 years ago, she was 16 and she got really sick and we had to put her down and I don’t want over people to go through that, I want to help keep them alive
WHAT I WANT TO BE IN 10 YEARS T I M E
I want to be a police officer when i grow up. how do I get the job? I don’t know that yet. But i will know soon. When do I want to get the job? When im 27. Why do I want the job? because well it’s cool and when someone is “mean” to me I can just pull out the badge.

What I want to be in 10 years time, and what I have do to get there
In 10 years time I want to be a astronomer, I am interested in the universe, and I know lots of stuff about space, if I want to get this job I must study very hard. I must know how to use a telescope, and how to adjust it. I am less likely to achieve this because my parents will tell me to work at New World.

DFI Day 9 – EXAM DAY
So Day 9 of my DFI experience was EXAM DAY! All week I was hitting the notes and practicing when I could to revise as much of what I have learned over the past 8 weeks. It has been a very long time since I have sat a 3 hour exam lol…… suffice to say I had got just a little worked up about it all 🙂
I am pleased to report that I finished the exam with about 1/2 hour to spare and answered every question. It was a challenge but I really enjoyed it. Going over the scenarios was a way of remembering what I had learned and jogging the memory as you worked through them.
Thank you to my facilitator Vicky Archer who has been an amazing teacher and support person throughout this journey. Not only is she a wonder of knowledge but a very very patient person too. Being able to share ideas and listen to others in our little digital bubble was just great, and I loved how well we got to know each other and how much at ease we all were as the weeks went on.
I have a much better grasp on the Manaiakalani Kaupapa after listening to Dorothy each week introduce all the concepts and have a real appreciation on the impact this has had on our school, our teachers and our students learning. Digital technology is ever-changing and Manaiakalani work so hard to keep everyone up with the latest info.
Upon reflection of the past 9 weeks, I was very sceptical about coming away from my office once a week and honestly thought I was way past the ‘learning gag’ however I am so pleased my Principal gave me the opportunity to be involved and I have gained a huge amount of knowledge, a new profound appreciation for our teachers and students and their online learning, and have met some really lovely people along the way. My challenge to myself now, is to implement some of that new knowledge in my daily practice and to endeavour to keep up with my new Blog. Watch this space……
I am now celebrating my new qualification earned My New DFI Badge – so proud of this and it was such fun earning it to.

Keeping New Zealand beautiful
Hi my name is Jasper Benincasa I am 14 years old i live on a sailboat. She is a Formosa 56′ built in Taiwan in 1982 I attend Bay of Islands College. I enjoy playing guitar and surfing. I believe the biggest problem in 2020 is global warming, carbon emissions and pollution. I think we can cut down on carbon by using solar, wind, dam powered energy. This would hopefully reduce carbon emissions in the atmosphere and help stop the destruction of the ozone layer and stop rising sea levels. Also we should try to stop using fossil fuels and start using other things such as electric or hybrid cars. Because carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere are rising extremely high we should also think about planting more trees too cause as you should know trees will reduce the carbon dioxide emission levels in the atmosphere.
We should also think about the use of plastic and how plastic is now turning into micro plastics. Which are significantly worse than regular plastic because fish are now ingesting it without even having to eat food. For example whales are filter feeders and when they open up their mouths they’re ingesting large amounts of micro-plastics. And whales and other animals are dying at a terrifying rate. And coral is also dying at a horrifying rate 50% of all coral reefs have already died and we could lose another 40% of coral in just another 10 years if we continue at this rate. This is why we need to act fast and stop the destruction of our home because nothing else matters if we don’t have a home to live on. And this affects me personally because I have seen dead coral all over the pacific and I have also seen such beautiful, colourful, and pristine reefs. For example I have been to BoraBora, Fakarava, Tahiti and so many other amazing and beautiful places and they have some of the most beautiful reefs and wildlife on the planet and I do not want to see it get destroyed. Thank you for reading my blog.

”Rubbish pick up”
Friday the 11th was a momentous day. 10r as a class decided to head down town to clean up our lovely surroundings and help our community out.As we walked through kawakawa we walked past a lot of pollution and rubbish that looked as if it had been there a long time.
It didn’t take us a long time to walk from point a to b but by the time we had got there we had picked up 3-4 bags which was pretty disappointing to see because it meant alot of people liked to litter.
Even though we had picked up a lot of rubbish we still had fun getting out and cleaning our environment and i hope that next year will be better for us and the community we live in.
