Moving to another country

 Kia ora Bloggers,

during my social studies lesson, this week we have been learning about moving to another country. Whaea Muritere, gave us a task to learn about finding a random country and research everything we could, and what it’ll be like if we moved there. I have learnt that in China the popularity there is 1.398 billion, which is quite a lot, if you think about it. This work kinda reminds me of our last work we did on where our grandparents/ tupuna migrated. This work helps me learn about different or other counties and how maybe you would like to move there in the future. My overall view during this week’s work on moving to another country has been really fun and interesting.

Australian dollars

Each week as part of my literacy rotation in HRM we do research cards. This weeks research card was turning 100 Australian dollars into other countries money to see how much it’s worth. This was a interesting thing to research and I enjoyed finding out how much money is worth in different contries!

Outsiders novel

Our year 10 class has been reading a novel named outsiders, one question we were
all asked is what is an Outsider is . My first answer was someone who doesn’t belong. At this time i have read up to chapter 8 the book is very exciting. It has to be one of the best books i have ever read, the book has good characters, good backgrounds. Also all the events that has happened in the book have been nail biting. After reading close to most of the novel i have a new understanding of the word outsider. My new understanding of the word outsiders is ” someone who is deemed unpopular and chooses secrecy over friendship”

The outsiders chapter 1 reflection

The first chapter of The Outsiders showed the personality of charictors, and introduced an idea of the storyline. It had quite an abrupt start, with him nearly getting killed in less than 10 sentances, but it was a good start to a good story
