Tracey Tawhiao and Sofia Minson

Some connections I can see between the two artists’ kaupapa is the Maori designs/people and also the same meaning with the Maori designs and people. The use of the grids are sort of the same because Tracey Tawhiao uses squares and triangles and a whole bunch of other shapes but so does Sofia Minson.

Maths- Decimals

This week I have been learning how to show the decimal of a shape. A decimal number is a part of a whole number

For Challenge 1 I had to use the grid to show 1/10 of the shape in green, 2/10 of the shape purple and 5/10 of the shape in blue. As well as what decimal there were by themselves and all together. I found this quite easy but also a bit confusing. Green is 0.1, Purple is 0.2 and Green is 0.5. All together they are 0.8.

Task 1: smile

On Sunday I went to my cousins house and it was Easter. My cousins and I went to church at 10:00 am in the morning. After church we came back home and I saw Niksia. Niksia is my cousins dog. I went to Niksia but when I got to Niksia I saw two puppies. My reaction was so excited. Because Niksia gave birth to two puppies. I liked the puppies because it was my favourite colour. Me and my family are going to keep the White one which is a girl and is also the oldest. Out of them all.

Saturday

Last Saturday me and my sister went to my cousins house and we played basketball and we started shooting then we did a one versus one and I lost. Then my other cousin came and we all played basketball until we went to a park for a easter egg hunt. The boys and the girls went in different cars. We went to the park and no one was there and the adults were already prepared. We all waited and got bags to put what we found in them. Then we started the hunt and I saw one on the playground and also on the trees.

Most of them were on the trees and we got dinosaur yoyos for the boys and unicorn yoyos for the girls. The boys also got red toy swords and the girls got purses. we also got chocolate. After that we waited for round two of the easter hunt. We talked about why we have easter and we all answered. Then they were ready and we started. We got our bags again and looked around and I saw three deodorant! I got them all but  I had to put t back I had too many.
