Matariki Report!
INTRODUCTION/ WHAT IS MATARIKI?
Celebrating matariki is flying kites and also having feasts , Welcoming their Whanau into the family and also greeting the new ones. And your family and friends are properly from Australia, Turkey, Auckland and Brazil from all over the world.
Some people celebrate matariki at different times morning/midnight we celebrate matariki every year on the smae time, and mataiki happenes before the stars cluster and when it is only a full moon.
Did you know that Matariki is the maori name for the cluster of stars also known as the pleiades.
Why do we celebrate Matariki?
Matariki is also known as the Maori New Year, is a time to celebrate the people that have died over the years.
Also welcome the people that one of their relatives passed away, the way you can celebrate them is to share, do fireworks and also tell stories and play music and sing songs to eachother.
Why is Matariki important to New Zealand?
Matariki is one of the special occation in the New Zealand calenda which only Marks the start of the Maori New Year.
It usually celebrates the time when new crops are sown and coincides with the Maori months of Harvesting, mens that lots of people have to make heaps of food because there will be heaps of people going to their home.

Stem House Project
Hello everyone. For the past few weeks, we’ve been working on a project. Our Science and Math class collabed for this project. The project is basically designing a house, we also had to figure out the area (math part) and the VIR (Voltage, Current, Resistance).
AIM: Design a house and figure out what the V=Voltage, I=Current, R=Resistance.
Method: What template did you pick and how many bulbs? What rooms did you give your house? Add a picture here.
I chose this template because I wanted to get excellent. I picked 12 light bulbs. The rooms I have in my house are a kitchen + food pantry, guestroom + bathroom, entertainment room, master bedroom + bathroom + personal entertainment room, lounge, livingroom, laundry room, bathroom, shoe closet and an office / library.

Discussion:
Voltage is what’s causing the electrons to flow around the circuit. Current is the measure of the flow of electrons in a circuit. Resistance measures how well a material or object conducts electricity
VOLTAGE CALCULATION: Basically, what I did was 200V divided by the amount of bulbs there are in a pathway.
CURRENT CALCULATION: 25 times the amount of light bulbs there are in a pathway. Then divided the answer with 200V.
Conclusion:
Personally, I enjoyed this project because I like designing homes. If I were to do this again, I’d probably try to make it as neat as I could.

End of Term 3 Blog
This term has been fun For this we got two new kids in our class room Their names are Leah and Felim.
For maths we have been learning how to sort decimals, dmic maths and more blookets.
For literacy we do spelling every week and 3 screen castaifys. We have to do 5 mahi a tahi tasks a week and at the end of the week we get to do games on the chrome books and we sometimes get to do doge ball.
For Inquiry I did film making and the other choice was production and they did a big performance and we went to the port hills and the wetlands.

In a world of disgrace, a man was searching for some supplies to survive. He really wanted to get revenge on the people that captured his parents, turning them into wild creatures. He knew that his parents wouldn’t want him to get revenge since they were soft on the inside but he didn’t know what else to do. He knew he had one target to capture and that was Dayron, the person that captured his parents. He figured his name was Dayron since every single TV/Television that was still working had his name on it.
He searched for some supplies and found a box of helpful supplies. BOOM, The man kicked the tin, forcing the lid to open and letting him see what was inside. The frustrated man found an unusual gadget that was somehow still working. He turned it on and lots of videos popped up. He instantly got goosebumps for they all had their four limbs cut off, just for the experiment to work. “AAHHHH, WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?” Cried the terrified man. He Threw the gadget away, realising that he had just led creatures towards him. He heard some rustling in the bushes so ran for his life and didn’t look back once to see what it was. While running he tripped on a stick making him roll his ankle. The beast got closer and closer so he closed his eyes and when he opened it again, there was another beast fighting it. He didn’t know that there were good monsters because all he had been doing for his life was hiding, running and it had just been going like that for his whole life. He struggled to get up but managed quite well.
When he got back up, he saw that the other creature that had been chasing him was running off. He then got closer to the other beast but it growled. He put his hands up to show that he had no weapons on him. To his surprise, it got closer and closer till he could finally touch it. The man looked for a name tag or anything that had a name that he could call it but it had none. He hopped on the beast and it seemed as fluffy as a wolf.
He felt as if he was in a never ending maze because everywhere he went he felt like he had been there before. Now that he had a pet, he could get places a lot faster and he doesn’t have to walk on his rolled ankle. About thirty minutes later, they came to a dead end and tried to go back, only to see that Daron and some of his workers were there. He then threatened Dayron and his workers that if they don’t stand back they’re going to get hurt. The only thing they said was “We’re only looking for our escaped pet, we didn’t come here for trouble”. The man didn’t listen and hit the beast, signalling to run it straight at them. The wolf did as expected so the scientists stood aside. The wolf continued to run. All the man wanted was to get revenge and get out of the city that seemed like a never ending maze. When he arrived at his next destination, he was surprised to hear silence. He went inside the destroyed building and saw endless overgrown plants. He was full of curiosity since he had never seen so many overgrown plants before. Instantly the building started falling apart and since he left his pet outside it was difficult to get out since he was already far in. The man started running as fast as he could to get to the exit but since it was so far he had to come up with another idea. He slid to the exit and just in time, he made it out safely before the building was no longer a building.
He didn’t know what to do anymore because he was so frustrated. He signalled the wolf to go straight for a long time because he just wanted to get out of the city that seemed like a never ending maze. If he got out of the maze, the first thing he would do is go to a zoo.

Book Week Celebrations
Today for our last day of term we all came dressed as our favourite book characters.
We had Spidermen, Princesses, Mary Poppins and even a character from Minecraft.
We also said farewell to our good friends Shahwaiz, Sia and Chelsea who are changing schools next term.
What a wonderful way to end the term.
