end scrapers served as heavy- duty scraping tools that could have been used on animal hides, wood, or bones.

Flint

Flint and stone tools were being traded from as early as 4000 BC. sharpening the flint produces piles of waste flakes.

A steam engine is a heat engine that performs mechanical work using steam as its working fluid.

The spinning jenny is a  1764 multi-spindle spinning frame, and was one of the key developments in the industrialization of textile manufacturing during the early Industrial Revolution. It was invented in 1764 or 1765 by James Hargreaves in Stan hill, Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire in England.

Cotton gin. Eli Whitney’s cotton gin, patented in 1794, obviated the need to remove seeds from raw cotton by hand. The result was increased production of cotton.

A water frame is a spinning frame that is powered by a water-wheel. Water frames in general have existed since Ancient Egyptian times. Richard Arkwright, who patented the technology in 1769, designed a model for the production of cotton thread; this was first used in 1765.

mr Rea’s teaching

I think Mr Rea did an amazng job at teaching our class I personally have come along way from thinking I didnt want to do the song or write it and lots of periods were spent not doing anything but he really pusshed me t just get sometng down and helped s much. I really enjoyed making the song and my whole viewon it changed so much from the start of the term to now.

|| Music ||

||What I think and how I would react to the music changes with AI:||

In music I do really enjoy listening to many types of genres, such as rock, indie, electronic, rap, pop etc. But AI is a whole new unique way of producing music. As much as I think AI is helpful, in other ways I think it’s also harming the whole purpose of making music. AI such as art, music and even character does have some downfalls.

When you make music, having an AI can help you in many ways, but it can also make you lack a sense of talent or originality. Making music is something your passionate about and I’m not saying no one should use AI at all, but I believe AI kills the spirit, passion and talent for music.

Difference between Private and public

Yesterday we learnt difference between public and private. We placed things that should be on public and things that should be private. This is also similar to digital footprint. Meaning something you post online or something you searched it will never disappear. Like lets say you wanted to delete something of your history. But you can’t because you are only deleting stuff you can see but everything you do online stays on there forever. My private stuff is something not to show anyone, for example would you tell anyone your full name and your password ?. Well exactly the answer is no why?. Because you never know the next day you look on your stuff and everything is gone and hacked and you cant get everything back. So thats why we dont tell people our full name and password. I really enjoyed experiencing things that should be private and public.

Wind Racer (Final Blog)

In Science we made Wind Racer which is Fortnite. Me, Alex, Dylan, Lucas and Izz Made a Fortnite wind racer. The task for the wind racer is to go furthest and see how far it goes and it went that far and I won. The Materials for the Fortnite wind racer is some newspaper, paint to write Fortnite and stuff and a leaf blower to blow the wind racer to keep moving very far.

Wind Racer (SCI)

Wind Racer

Aim: To build a wind racer that can be blown as far as possible.

Equipment: Cardboard, paper , tape, string, Popsicle sticks, Race Trolley

Research: How to Make a Car – Wind Car – Very Simple Toy

We first folded 2 pieces of newspaper and taped the two together from the middle of the bottom piece. Then we taped it to the bamboo stick and tied them together, to make it look like a sail. We then taped it all together so it was secured, then we put plastic over the newspaper to make it water proof and make the base a little stronger.

Our Wind Racer did not win at all but we didn’t come last either, which is a good thing. One thing we could’ve done better is to not attach the strings because it made it move slower.

Design:

Why: It looks like that because it has to be designed that way for it to work.

How: The wind is going to blow the top part and that’s how the force works because as the wind hits the top bit it also moves the other parts of the body.

What: If it doesn’t work in the middle then we will move it to the end because it seems like it is more likely to work.

Helicopter Experiment (Science)

The other day in our science class, we did a little experiment called “Helicopter Experiment” where you’re going to do a helicopter using different wing-sized paper and a paper clip. In the experiment, you’re going to time how many seconds each helicopter hit the surface ground. In our experiment, we used 3cm, 4cm, 5cm, and 6cm wing-sized helicopters.

  • Which helicopter took the longest to fall?

The helicopter that took the longest fall to hit the surface area is the 6cm wing size by Group 4.

  • Why do you think that is?

It’s because of the wing size that supports the weight and mass of the helicopter that makes the helicopter took the longest fall. Aerodynamics also takes part in the fall because the force exerted on the body by the air in which the body is immersed, and is due to the relative motion between the body and the air.

Conclusion: Did it work? Would you do anything differently?

Yes It worked. No, I’m not going to do anything differently because the wing size of the helicopter will always be the main support/reason of how much time will the helicopter hit the surface area of the ground.

Digital Trails

Today we recorded our digital trails from the last 24 hours on a map. We used our Chromebook History to remind us of all the places we had visited online at school. We also thought about the places we had visited online when we are not at school. We noticed that our digital footprint can get very big, very quickly.

What does your digital footprint look like over the past 24 hours?

Isaac`s cheetah report writing.

WALT identify key ideas about our topic.

So for the last week and a half  I have been learning about cheetahs and doing a report aout them.

For the first step that we had to do was to put down some fact on a piece of paper that had  5 sections that had diet, habitat, life cycle/babies/life expectancy, predator/environmental dangers and physical description.

For the next one we had to do the topic sentences because then that would finish off the body paragraphs. Also for the last thing we had to do the introduction andconclusion.

Here is my work.

I hope you like this blog post and make sure you comment if you have anything to say and see you next time. BYE 🙂 🙂
