  It has another floor underneath that has 4 beds and a table with chairs. There are some parrots flying around but some are in the water struggling.😅🦜

Spring learning Journey: Pancakes!

Hey everyone! This is activity two from the spring learning journey. This activity was to spoil your parents by making them breakfast in bed. I made my mum heart shaped pancakes but i forgot to take a picture but here is the pancake mix I used

It was so fun and easy to make! My mum said she really liked how fluffy and sweet it tasted! I was so happy that she liked it! Do you think you can make pancakes? Well I think you can make the best pancakes in the world! if you get in the kitchen and have some fun!

Spring Learning Journey: Making a Tuvaluan Ili (Fan)

Hey everyone! Since it’s a two week holiday I decided to do some learning and fun activities in the Spring Learning Journey Programme. The first activity was to make your own Ili which is a traditional fan from the Tuvaluan culture. I really enjoyed making this and it was a really cool activity to do because it is tuvalu language week and it’s great to make something or do something to celebrate the wonderful culture.

Spring Learning Journey – Second Activity

Kia ora! This second activity is about making a song that reminds you of spring, now in my point of view in spring that it’s full of rhythm, soft beats and that fits in a jungle.

This took me awhile to think what instruments to use for spring, so I picked a marimba and a kit. If you know what these two instruments are then please comment down below and I would love to know some fun facts about them or something.

Term Wrap-Up: A Day of Dance, Achievements, and Appreciation at Homai School!

September 27, 2024, the last day of the term was a vibrant celebration at Homai School, highlighted by the Student Leaders Assembly. Students showcased their dance skills, and all the whares announced their achievements in various events like the whare chants and cross country.

Whaea Melisha took a moment to recognized her amazing support staff by presenting them with certificates, a heartfelt way to show appreciation for their hard work in the classrooms. Mrs. Patea also honored students with perfect attendance certificates, celebrating their dedication. Shifa from Room 12 was among those recognized—well done, Shifa! To add to the excitement, students were treated to their favourite foods as a motivational reward for their commitment to attending school daily.

. Afterward, a fun day unfolded up to 1:30 PM, filled with impressive dance moves, splits, and gymnastic stunts. The teachers were amazed by the students’ talents, making it a memorable conclusion to the term!
