Reflection of Warriors “Have a Go Day”

This morning both room nine and ten had the privilege to go outside and have a fun day by playing sports with Liam, Alicia and famous rugby player Gayle Broughton also known as G. We played around nine activities, but my favourite one by far was the turbo touch on the wheelchairs. We had three sessions that had three different activities. Those activities were an obstacle type relay where you had to throw a rugby ball through a hole and run around zigzagging back and fourth with five burpee’s once you reach the end, but the second activity we played was wheelchair turbo touch which was by far my favourite and the last activity we played was a game called rob the nest. The goal of the game is to grab as many balls as you can from the middle for your teams, but there’s one volleyball each ball is worth one point besides the volleyball. The volleyball is worth five points. Once every ball in the middle has been stolen the ref shouts out “STEAALLLLLL” and everyone steals balls from each other. We had a short little break, had some fruit and went out once more.  I won’t explain the whole day but I will list the games we’ve played. The games we played consist of two relay races and a ripper tag game. We played wheel chair turbo touch, wheel chair turbo rugby and volleyball in a wheelchair. The last games we played were rob the nest, multi sport and two games of touch. This is a short summary of what we did having a fun time, so long story short I just want to say thank you for this privilege.
