Hello people of the world and that is reading this. My name is Hadassah I am currently  at Wesley intermediate my birthday is on the 15th of March 2013. I have  9 siblings () I am a proud Samoan and Niuean ().

HOBBIES AND FAVOURITE

The  3 things I love doing (my hobbies) are – Sleeping (), Making trouble to my siblings () and listening to music . My favourite foods are Dumplings and Sushi. My favourite colours are purple, blue and white (). The country I would like to visit the most is New Zealand but I am already living in New Zealand so Australia, Brisbane. My favourite artists are Shenseea, Rod Wave, DMP and Keri Hilson .

AUTUMN VIBES

So my FAVOURITE season is obviously AUTUMN (), why? because my birthday is in autumn, Anzac day is in autumn, summer is too hot and there is so much flies, winter I cant do anything cos its to cold and wet, SPRING is just summer and winter combined like some days are hot then cold its just unpredictable so I love like really love Autumn.

Today we came together to celebrate the blessing of our beautiful new building, Te Ngahere Ako. The whakawatea ceremony, led by our kaumātua Matua Hare, cleansed and prepared this special space, honouring Tāne-Mahuta and Papatūānuku for the natural materials that form its foundation.

Our tamariki and whānau joined in heartfelt waiata, and we acknowledged the incredible mahi of the builders and designers who brought this taonga to life. Walking through Te Ngahere Ako, we felt its purpose – a space to nurture learning, connection, and growth for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who shared in this milestone. This building is a reflection of our kura’s spirit and community.

Ōwairaka Theatre Group performed the original play “Chaos Ball” yesterday. Watched by the whole school, parents and other whanau, the play was a student-written drama-comedy about sports and the dangers of taking the easy way to winning.

Congratulations to all cast, crew, and writers. Special thanks to Layla-Jay for her role as assistant director and stage manager, and Connie for training up our young cheerleader squad! Without these two and all of the extra time they put into it, the production would not have been the same.

Today in class we were exploring the summer learning journey teaser week activities. The task that we had to do was create our own super hero and then give a description about the super hero that we had created.

The challenging thing about this activity was finding a good picture to describe my superhero.

The easy thing about this activity was finding names.

Something I enjoyed about this was naming the animals and then giving a description and making the description up about my superhero.

This week during Cybersmart. we looked at how we could generate media using AI. We used Adobe Firefly to create images. We had to use a prompt that described in detail what we wanted the picture to look like.

Here is my prompt:

I see a haunted house. A full moon is behind it, making it look dark and gloomy. It is a 2 story wooden house with rooms in the attic. There are lots of cobwebs and their is some damage to the windows and some of the weatherboards. There are 9 windows and 3 tower turrets. There is a veranda at the front and the number 13 on the door. Ivy is growing in some places around the house.

And here is the picture that was generated. The picture was much better  than I expected. Let me know what you think or share your own picture in the comments.

This week at Discovery time we made pasta. The ingredients are very simple: 1 egg per 100 grams of flour, but it takes a lot of kneading to get the dough soft and then lots of rolling to turn it into noodles. Lucky there were lots of helping hands!

This morning at the Year 5 camp was an adventure-packed experience! Here are a few snapshots.

The climbing wall was a hit, with students pushing past their fears and cheering each other on to reach the top.

Using UHT radios added a thrilling “mission” element to playing hide and seek, as students checked in and navigated around the lodge to locate each other.

Archery was another favourite—many tried it for the first time and managed to hit the target with focus and persistence.

Bush cooking was another hit with students making pancakes and sharing laughs around the fire.

It was an unforgettable morning of teamwork, confidence-building, and memories we’ll all cherish!

Room 10 has been learning about forces – push and pull. We learnt:
– there are lots of different sorts of pushes and pulls
– pushes and pulls make things move
– pushes and pulls have different strengths and directions
