✧・゚:* Te Maire Planting Day *:・゚✧

About a week ago (Wednesday 14th June) Teina Toru and Poutama went to Te Maire Lagoon to go planting.

We drove to Te Maire by bus and thanks to Tim, We got there safely and on time.

We had to walk a little to get there but I was fine. Then when we were there the kaitiaki did a karakia and we got started! Our class had to get into groups of three or two but I didn´t get into a group, And I think I did well when I planted 11 plants by myself.T

Once I finished my planting I went to the little stall and had a packet of chips and two sandwitches. Then everyone packed because they finished all the planting and our class and Teina Toru took a photo for our school then walked back to the bus and drove to school.

It was lunchtime when we got back, Poutama and Teina Toru got a longer lunch because we didn’t get all of our lunch play.

It was so fun planting!

This report is about Pluto. by Remi martin

This report is about Pluto. It will talk about its discovery, moons and other facts.

Pluto is the coldest dwarf planet in the solar system. There are 3-4 dwarf planets which are all found in the Kuiper Belt, past Neptune.

In our solar system Pluto was the first dwarf planet to be discovered. It was discovered in 1930, by Clyde Tombaugh. Pluto became a dwarf planet in 2006.

Pluto has 5 moons. They are called:

Nix, Styx, Hydra, Charon, Kerberos.

This report was about Pluto, it talked about its discovery, moons and other facts.

My report about Neptune

This report is about Neptune. It will talk about its moons. It will also discuss its atmosphere and distance from the sun. Neptune is the furthest planet from the sun in our Solar System.

Neptune has 14 moons. Because Neptune is named after the Roman God of the Sea, its moons are named after lesser gods or nymphs of the sea as well. The biggest moon is called Triton.

Neptune is known as an ice giant, and actually has 5 rings. It is 58 times bigger and 17 times heavier than Earth. It is more than 30 times as far from the Sun than Earth is. A year on Neptune lasts 165 Earth years.

Neptune was actually observed many times prior to official discovery by Urbain Le Verrier. Which is why there are arguments over who discovered Neptune.

his report was about Neptune. It talked about its moons. It also discussed its Atmosphere and distance from the sun. Neptune is the most distant planet from the sun in our Solar System.

This report is about Mars

This report is about Mars. It will cover the atmosphere and its moons. It will also talk about its placement in the solar system

Mars is named after the Roman God of War. Mars is smaller than Earth with a diameter of 4217 miles. No proof of past or present life has been found on Mars. Growing evidence suggests that during the ancient Noachian time period, the outside environment of Mars had liquid water and may have been usable for microorganisms, but conditions don’t necessarily mean life. Mars had water in the ancient past.

Mars is a dusty, cold, desert world with a very thin atmosphere.  Mars may look warm but it is very cold. Mars is called the red planet because of all the iron in the soil.

There is strong evidence Mars was wetter and warmer, with a thicker atmosphere. Billions of years ago.

Mars is also a planet with seasons, cold ice caps, canyons, lost volcanoes, and proof that it was even more active in the past. Mars has MASSIVE dust storms which last for months and cover the entire planet.

Mars is the next planet beyond Earth and is the 4th planet from the sun. It is more than 142 million miles from the sun.

Mars has two moons, and their names are Phobos and Deimos. Phobos has a diameter of 14 miles (22 kilometers) Deimos has a diameter of 7.5 miles (12 kilometers)

My report about Jupiter.

This report is on Jupiter. It will cover how big it is, Jupiter’s moons and Jupiter’s rings.

Jupiter is more than twice as massive then the other planets of our solar system combined.

The giant planet’s great red spot is a centuries-old storm bigger than Earth. Jupiter is 11 times larger than earth.

By moons count, Jupiter has between 80 and 95 moons

Io is the most volcanic ally active world in the solar system, with hundreds of volcanoes, some erupting lava fountains dozens of kilometres high.

Europa is thought to have an iron core, a rocky mantle and an ocean of salty water that may be one of the best places to look for life beyond Earth in our solar system.

Ganymede is the largest moon in our solar system and the only moon with its own magnetic field.

Callisto is the most heavily cratered object in our solar system.

Jupiter also has several rings, but unlike the famous rings of Saturn, Jupiter’s rings are very faint and made of dust, not ice. Jupiter’s rings are formed by being hurled up by micro-meteor impacts on Jupiter’s  small inner moons and captured into orbit.

This report was on Jupiter. It talked about how big it was, Jupiter’s moons and Jupiter’s rings.

My report about sutrn

This report is about Saturn it will cover: ice rings, environment and states. It will also look at the Roman God Saturn is named after: Agriculture

Saturn has a bright complex system of ice rings. Saturn is unique in our solar system. The other giant planets have rings but none are as spectacular as Saturns.

Saturn’s environment is not helpful to life as we know it. The temperatures, pressures, and materials that mak3 the  planets are most likely too extreme for organisms to change.

The farthest planet from Earth discovered by the human eye, without a telescope,  Saturn, has been known since ancient times. The planet is named after the Roman God of Agriculture and Wealth, who was also the father of Jupiter.

Saturn is very large. It is around 10 times the size of Earth. Saturn would float in water because it is mostly made of gas. Saturn has over 60 moons, the biggest being Titan, which is bigger than Mercury.

This report has been about Saturn ice rings, environment and states. It also looked at the Roman God Saturn is named after: Agriculture

Earth has one moon, Earth’s moon does not have a name ,we just call it the moon.and the moon is 384,400 km away.and it is 1.737.4 km wide.

Lots of spacecrafts are made so astronauts can fly to space. That is how astronauts get to the Space Station. That is where the astronauts live in space too.

This report was about the earth’s moon.it talked about how far away the moon is fromearth, and how wide the moon is by.
