Today in class we learnt about how to know if a website or some news is real or fake. Then we had to make our own fake news so this is mine and my buddy (Hineatas)

Today we looked at fake AI images and we had to tell if they were fake or not.

We then had to Photoshop ourselves into a background and make it look real.

Recently we have been learning about factors, multiples and prime numbers. Factors are the numbers that times into the number. multiples are the numbers that numbers can times into. Finally, prime numbers they have only two factors one and itself  1 is not a prime number cause it only has one factor four isn’t a prime number because it has three factors seven is because it has two factors.

the haast eagle was the largest eagle ever known to exist with a wingspan of over 3 meters but it is extinct now due to its largest prey (the moa) going extinct so here’s some fun facts about the haast eagle.

The haast eagle was rumored to have had a population of around 9000 as of 1400 before they starting starving due to their prey being hunted,  people theorize that the haast eagle may have eaten people if they were starving or desperate they think this due to the stories from the native maori of the pouakai a large bird that ate humans closely described with features matching that of the haast eagle.

the haast eagles diet didn’t just consist of moa and the occasional human but most likely also included kereru, ducks swan, geese and rails (a type of water bird).

the haast eagle was also only found in the south island although their was sightings far south of the north island no fossils or evidence has been found their so they may have been false reports.

Last term in room 3 we did career posters.

What we had to do was make a huge poster with facts and pictures about what job we wanted. I did a Race Car Driver and I did plenty of writing and pictures. I think my one turned out great but when we shared them with another class I didn’t get much interested spectators.

In the holidays, I went to Taupo for my Nana’s 80th birthday. It took a while to get there as instead of it taking 3 hours as it would normally take, it took roughly 4 hours. On the way there, it was coincidentally the last day of the Rock 2000, where my Mum and I made a bet for $5 on what song would win, Mum said that “Mama I’m Coming Home” would win, and I said  “War Pigs” would win. War Pigs ended up winning so my Mum had to give me $5. I now have $72.20-ish, and my Nana is 80.

Today we were doing a Te wiki o te reo māroi activity, me and Hineata made a Google form about Māroi colours and numbers. You can try it out here

Today we had some choices of activities for Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori.

For me, I chose the Google Draw Whakatauki. I really enjoyed making it. Here it is, I hope you like it! :3
