In maths this week we worked on our on our perimeter, area and of volume of shapes. I think the volume of shapes is the most confusing of them all.                  I started writing my mana report. I’m working on my strengths/what I’m good at. My favourite activity this week was lino prints.

My reading this week was selecting my favourite books from a box we were given.  I liked it because it is very fun.

My favourite activity this week was is doing the kapa haka.  I like kapa haka because it is cool and we went to do our  Powhiri at Kiwa pools .

I really enjoyed making this game is took a while but i manged to push through. what I found hard was creating my own codes and finding the right codes to put in. The easy thing was finding characters and back drop

I learnt how to create a game on scratch the thing that was challenging was using code blocks to make the chicken run tho it was hard I really enjoyed re creating this game and moving on to other projects.

This week I have written a recount about what we did with the cotton nappy as part of our environment study.  I have been finishing off my art for my Matariki kite.

In Room 3 we have been training for cross-country. Everyday we run around the bike track 3 times. We are also timing each lap and writing the times in our Math book.

Reading: We have been reading about earthworms. We even learnt facts about them, like there are approximately 2,700 different kinds of earthworms.

Writing: We have being doing an experiment to see if our soil is healthy or not. To do this we are burying 100% cotton squares.

Maths: In maths we been running laps around the field, we have also been playing a game called banquer it was really fun we could but our money into our saving account but it was not real money.

In art we made kites last week out of straw and paper. In maths we learnt how to save money on a website called Banqer. In writing we been learning what worms do for the soil to make it healthy. We have been reading about worms and sometimes we read with the class on the TV and other times we read from books and Chromebooks. My exciting news is that I played rugby and football on the back field with my friends.

Today we were learning how to animate a drawing.
