The Learning Intention was learning how to use Block coding

My Question for you guys  is what other sites we could use for block coding

Today I made my name on scratch

I made my name move, spin and talk. what went well was some of the codings. What didn’t go well was making some of the letters move. I enjoyed adding the letters, what I didn’t enjoy was doing all the coding because it was really annoying when it didn’t work,  I would like readers to comment with good feedback, but what do you think I could work on?

The WALT for today is learning how to code with blocks

What went well was the process of doing it once i got the hang of it, what didn’t go well is the beginning.

I enjoyed the outcome because it was pretty, and i worked hard on it.

I’d like the commentors to comment on the outcome and what it looks like.

Today I learned how to use block coding to to animate my name in scratch. I did this by going to the scratch website and following some instructional videos and getting some help from my friends. I was really good at getting it to change colors, it didn’t take long at all. But i need more practice at exact timing, as it took quite a few tries to actually get right-

1. Today I learned how to use block coding to animate my name from scratch. I did this by going to the scratch website, following some instructional videos, and getting help from my friends. I was really good at making the sounds and words. but I need more practice at more enhanced coding

Today, I used scratch to block code and animate my name. I did this by going onto scratch and using the coloured blocks to understand and complete my coding tasks.
Something that didn’t quite go as well that I thought would was that I thought I would have more time doing this task but I didn’t and didn’t complete the work that I wanted to.
I enjoyed the colouring of my letters as I like seeing what different colours scratch had.
I would like the reader to comment on how well they think I completed my work.

I have created a poster slide of some photo of things I like to do

I made it by downloading some images off google and using google slides

Something that was quite challenging was trying to find the right size images and the right ones

Today I made pixel art using google sheets and customised my own drawing using their colours.

We made pixel art on google sheets in our cyber smart lesson.

• I made Pixel art with google sheets
• I was confident at the time but the shape didn’t go well 
• I enjoyed making the art but making the shapes was tough

Sometimes all you want is a cupcake…

We used google sheets to make Pixel Art. I made a cupcake

The main problem I had was working out what to put at the top, I ended up putting sprinkles. The rest went pretty well

I enjoyed working out how to remove the grid lines that was fun. Then I realized that it said how to anyway.

Meowscles Pixel Art

For our second MANA Day, those who were eligible spent the day at Ngamotu Beach! A couple of students were playing with frisbees and some were just chilling on the beach. Some kids were playing touch on the sand and some were playing volleyball under the sun. The classes got to visit Mr Whippy’s van and buy some ice cream! There were many activities so everyone wouldn’t get bored, and Miss Feaunati had her speaker and was jamming songs while we were all having fun. We brought some of the school lunches in case some kids were hungry. Although no one was allowed to swim, the school still had a great time. At the end of the day, everyone walked back to school for a bit of excercise, while helpers stayed behind to put everything away.

I value how helpful and kind the teachers are,  and I’m very grateful that I came here. I have made a lot of good friends, which I wouldn’t have had without the school. This school highly promotes learning, but in a fun way which I really like.
