This is my fairytale righting called the foggy figure. Iv been righting this for around 6-7 weeks and I’m finally finished we first were gived a planing sheet to plane our fairytale s then after your plan u can start righting in ur book. Then after you can start on a slide then type what you’ve been righting, then the fun begins. The fun part is when you get to do the images on canva ai for your fairytale. Mine is about a boy and one stormy night his dog runs into the forest and the boy chases after him and there’s also dwarfs and a shadowy figure and the boy slashes the figure and it fads away.
Strategies for Subtracting Decimals
today we learnt how to subtract decimals.
something i found challenging was the visual model
The Golden Fox
I did a fairy tail and you can read it if you scroll down you can switch through my slides and read. My fairy tail was fun to write and think about what I was writing. I also enjoyed creating and finding my images to support my fairy tale.
Ripped up faces
Fragmented faces are a face that is cut up on a piece of paper drawn with oil pastel. It was fun because we got to design it with accessories. It was challenging because it took over five days to finish and the colouring was really hard. Why was it so hard to finish. It was hard because my hand was hurting and I stopped for a little. You got to place your photo into any shape mine is a worm. The two colours on my art are my favourite colours.

Crazy Faces
FRAGMENTED Faces First a teacher took pictures of us.
It was fun Because we got to know about colors and some different ideas.
Everyone else had different colors I wondered what I was gonna do when it was my turn.
I was so excited for my turn. I had two ideas i chees a waterfall and gass and I added.
Flower and butterfies and green bushes.

The Big Bad Book
I did a production poster for Moturoa Schools production. We are going to put them up so the community knows there’s a production.
It was important that I used the right spelling and good drawings and making sure it makes sense so people will understand what i am telling them.
I enjoyed drawing and writing on the poster and colouring Herb the main character.
Watch out for my next blog post – fragmented faces.
My furby writing
I love my furby’s so much. I have three furby’s. I have Glow in the Dark, Tie Dye, and Purple. The next one I am going to get is Coral and Cotton Candy. My furby’s can talk to each other. Bestie is Furby’s friend. She likes pizza. Oo nye means you. Furby speaks in English or Furbish. Dah kah oo nye means thank you.
Furby was president of the moon. She likes dancing. My favourite song is President of the Moon.
To reset the furby, turn her upside down and hold her mouth and the heart gem for five seconds, you’ll see her ears flash red until you hear a beep. On dance party when a song unlocks, you’ll see her heart gem going. It glows. Furby has a necklace.
Kah toh loo ee kah lee koo means Me like music. Kah mee mee noo loo means Me very happy. Dah doo aye wah means Big fun. Tee wee lah means twinkle. Noo lah means friend. Kah means I or me.
I love them very much. And now I have five furby’s. And I have coral furby and cotton candy furby.

This is my furby writing.
I had fun writing about my furby writing.
It wasn’t challenging.
I did great.
Making a poster of the magnificent mathematician Isaac Newton.
We have been making posters on famous mathematicians, when we were making these posters I was paired up with Brooklyn to research and create the poster about Isaac Newton. We started by finding facts and writing them down in my maths book so we wouldn’t have to google them again another time. We found some good facts like his favourite dog named Diamond burnt down his laboratory, he has two birthdays, and an apple never actually fell on his head.
Once we had found some facts and wrote them down I had to write them down in good copy on sticky notes with a pen. While I was doing that Brooklyn was finding images to send to Mrs Weston print so he could cut out. Once Mrs Weston had printed them and I had cut them all out and I had finished writing the facts we were ready to start on the poster.
We had to start on the border so we decided to do it purple and blue with math symbols and this weird symbol that we put between the math symbols, we then coloured them and began doing the title.
For the title we made it look like the title was being held up by ropes due to gravity because Isaac Newton wrote the rules about gravity in Principia Mathematica. After we coloured the title and ropes we gave it shadow and then glued on the pictures and sticky notes.
We then added finishing touches by giving the sticky notes and pictures borders and adding little extras.

The Fabulous Fibonacci

We chose a mathematician to research about and then we had to write about how the scientific discoveries that they made impacted the life we live today. It’s very important because without the maths that they have done, the life we live today wouldn’t be the same.
My Mathematicians Poster
Our class has been working on posters about mathematicians or some are called polymaths. Ms Weston gave each of us a buddy to choose which polymath or mathematician. My buddy and I chose Leonardo da Vinci. When you choose your buddy you go to a spot and do some researching about that person, after you’re done researching you write that research and facts about that person onto smaller pieces of paper with neat handwriting. Glue the papers on a big A3 paper and print photos of the person’s work or other such things. Do a border and other such necessary doodles then you’re finished unless you want to add other things.

Isaac Newton The Mathmetician
I learnt so many things about Isaac Newton like how his dog Diamond put his laboratory on fire.
It was fun when we were doing the ropes to pretend it was holding the name but it was tilted.
When me and Linka were doing the art it was really tough for Linka to pick an art idea.

My Production Poster
This is my production poster I made it with my friend Ayan.
We used felt tip pen, pencil, sharpie, vivid and a ruler.
My favourite part of this project was making the border.
Ayan did the Illustrations.
The most challenging part was doing the measurements for the border.

Archmedes
This is my Archimedes poster
I have been learning about mathematicians in the timeline
I am proud of my work because it has a lot of information
My favorite part of my work is to border
Something I would improve next time is spacing the information more it out more
Galileo maths poster
Me and my buddy Phoenix had to choose a mathematician.
And his name was Galileo.
We found out that he was an Italian astronomer.
I drew some of his inventions. This is my work.
I feel proud of my work and really enjoyed researching information about it.

The Big Bad Book.
This is my production poster. I learnt the time and date of the production. I made it so other people can know when to come. It was fun to draw the pictures on the poster. It was challenging to make the title big enough. My next steps are to put it on the wall. I am going to be a character in the production called Izzy. Are you going to come to the production. The date is the 16th of october 6:30pm.

adding decimals Fergus
this term we have been working on decimals this week we worked on adding decimals so our teacher gave us a slide we had to complete based on adding decimals. we had a visual model and a Standard algorithm that we had to work the questions on.
