This is my NZ’s Election process. I have been working on it with charlie and it has been very challenging. we talked about voting for parties, Democracy, coalition and parties teamwork, MMP, Party Leaders and we had some extra facts to talk about.

this week we have been learning about decisions and milestones my milestone was voting at 18 and for the decisions we learnt that in groups one person tacks charg.

This is NZ Election Process where you can find out what some main words mean.

WE have been learning about different types of indigionuos tribes the yanomami is one that I found  interesting.

We made a DOC about elections in New Zealand and many other facts.

Unexpected journey

My day started normally enough. I woke up excited to see my friends, my long brown hair tangling in knots. I put on my uniform, ate breakfast and went to meet my friends at the bus stop. When we hopped on the bus I noticed that we did not have Ms Lee today, she had the same bright green eyes as me. She must be sick, I thought. I also noticed that we were the first ones on. Which was unusual. But there was a cold going around so I did not question it. 

I started chatting to my friends. ( I had always wanted Emma’s blond hair and blue eyes.) That’s when I realized we were being driven down a hole in the ground past dragonflies bigger than us. Mushrooms the size of trees, and butterflies the size of us. 

“WHAT WAS HAPPENING!” 

“ WHERE WERE WE GOING!” I heard Emma squeal.

“We have to get out of this bus.” Said my best friend Lilly, her wild black hair flapped around as the bus started speeding up and her brown eyes looked as if all life had been swiped away from her. 

“Got any Ideas Sofie.” Emma asked me. 

No, I heard my own vose beary make a sound. 

That’s when the bus driver turned around. We all screamed at once! Because he was no human he was an ogre. 

“Calm down and no one will come to harm!” shouted the ogre. 

We immediately calmed down. Then I saw a soft mist creeping though the bus. We had to get home was the last thing I thought before a soft smell hit my nose and I started falling asleep.

I slowly started to wake up. I looked around me. Where was Emma and Lilly?! I tried to scream but I had been gagged and the bus door was shut so I barely made a sound. I started crying. I did not want to die like this! I was still so young. There was still so much I wanted to do. I should have tried better in school. I should have seen my grandma more often. That is when I saw the ogre, and he was carrying my friends. I felt a flutter of hope. The flutter got even bigger when I saw it was a different ogre and he was unchaining my friends. Maybe he could help us.He came in and started taking off my chains. My friends ran up and hugged me. They explained that the ogre was only going to unchain us and send us in the right direction. We thanked the ogre and started heading south. 

Just then a dragonfly flew close to us. It was as massive, as big as an airplane. It opened its mouth and for a second I thought it was going to eat us instead he said “Hi I am Jeff do you want a ride you look tired.” We all immediately said yes! On the way he told us about him. His favorite color was blue. But I could hardly listen. I was too confused to listen. He dropped us off by a giant mushroom. He said that this was the farthest he could take us and that we were about half way there. We thanked him and started walking. I had secretly hoped that he could take us all the way but I could not complain. He had taken us half way completely voluntarily. 

That’s when Emma spotted a horse. What no, that was not just any horse! That was my horse Biscet! She had gone missing half a year ago! I had looked everywhere for her but could not find her and now she was standing right in front of me I could not believe my eyes. 

That’s when Lilly said “what are we waiting for” I looked around. That is when I saw two other horses we jumped on them and started riding fast, desperate to get out of that place.

That is when my hand touches something sticky and slimy eww! A sudden jolt shakes the ground. I sit up in my bed, sweet dribbling down my head. I felt a sudden relief, it was all a bad dream! Or was it, I looked at my slime covered hand!

Underground World

Willow is a girl that has light brown hair with a blue top and tights, nala is a girl that has dark brown hair and wears a yellow top with jeans and simon is a boy that has blond hair with a green top on pants and they all woke up and they were in a place that was all pink that looked like cotton candy. Willow “said to nala where are we” Nala replied with “I do not know” Guys simon said “there are 2 doors one of the doors say easy and the other says hard” willow and Nala both said go in the easy door. Once they were in they saw a really big sigh that said if you win you get to go home. Once they looked they saw  big jumps with these cotton candy like stuff that we had to jump on.  

Simon said to Willow and nala “I want to go home so I think we should do it” Nala said “I’m going with or without you” Willow yelled “wait for me!.” They all did the first jump but once they looked back up they saw a lot of stuff that they had to do like a maze that was big and it had pink and green walls and big stars that were yellow . We all kept on going and we next had to go through these doors and if we got them wrought we had to ree do it. The first door said 5×5 Nala yelled “25” and so did Simon and Willow the next door said 10×8 Simon yelled “80” and so did Nala and Willow. The last door said 10×10 Willow yelled “100.” They kept on going but then they saw…

They saw a big maze that was pink and green. Willow said “are we going to do it”  Simon replied with “ We have to”. When they went in they saw left or right nala said “guys before we do this we have to stay together” Simon and willow said yes. Nala said “I want to go right“ And willow wanted to go right as well so they went right and once they did that they threw a twiz and a tune and then they looked behind them and saw. There was something chasing them. It was green with a little patch of yellow on its eye. Willow Yelled “ RUN” Simon said “guys come here there is a ladder maybe if we go up we can get away from this thing that is chasing us” Willow said “i’m going” up nala said “me to”. Once they were all up they started running and jumping over all the gaps  until they saw the end. Once they made a willow and said “I am never doing that again”.

Simon said “guys we are almost done i think we just need to go up those stars” Nala said “ guys I am already going to come” Willow said “ lets go”. They all went up and they were done and they all woke up and thought that was a really crazy dream.

Secret Fishing Spot

Me and my friend, Bob, with my dog, are going fishing at a secret underground cave. My dog is a Rottweiler, black and tan, and excited!

Me and my friend Bob and my dog went by boat for a fishing trip to an underground cave. To get to the cave it was 100km  off land. To get to the cave we filled the boat with gas so we didn’t get stuck in the middle of the sea. 

There were fibreglass rods on the boat. We had live bait. Bob’s blue eyes were happy, you could see on his face his smile and his excitement. 

The blue sea was flat and calm all the way to the cave. Dolphins were running in front of the boat trying to get their speed up. They were grey and they jumped out of the water in front of the boat.

There was a mountain in the ocean with a hole were you could go in. Tall trees grew on the mountain and seagulls were resting on the mountain. 

Before we went into the cave we got same live bait to catch the big fish. We put some on the hooks. We went into the cave and we all got teleported to an underground secret city in the cave. 

There were dinosaurs, a T-Rex and pterodactyls. We were freaked out! We could not run because we were trapped. The T-Rex started to come to us.

We started to try and find a way out of the cave. We could see an exit at the top. It looked roughly around ten feet up to the exit. To get out of the cave we had to climb up the rocks, they were sticking out and rough. We got half way up and there was no other way to get up and out.

We found a rope that was on the ledge. We tried chucking that out of the exit at the top, tried to get it around a rock. It took a couple of attempts and we finally got it wrapped around a rock.

We put a harness around my dog. We tied the other end of the rope to him and we climbed out first and then we pulled him up after us. Then we started to find a place on top of the cave to stay the night.

We found a flat rocky surface and we started to get some wood to make a hut. We tried to look for some crabs to cook on our fire. We went to the tide pools and we flipped a few rocks and we found some. Some of the tide pools had some fish that we were able to get. We put them on the fire to cook. Then we went to sleep.

The next morning we started to make a rescue sign, using some wood and stone. “S.O.S.!”

We waited for another two days and then we saw a cargo boat going past. We had some metal and starting reflecting it off the sun towards the boat. We waited to see if they would turn and face us… they had one of the little boats on the side of their large boat and they put it into the water. 

Someone started to drive over to us. They picked us up and took us back to the cargo boat. They gave us some normal food. They took us back to land. When we got back to land there were people waiting to pick us up. We went to the hospital to get a check up. We were all fine and so we went back home. We decided that we would not go back out to the island and we would not be telling other people to go there either.

Space Bunny

Before I woke from this game I could remember holding my breath getting pushed from the heart. Halo and I were playing a game called Space Bunnies where you shake on the floor from cutting oxygen from the brain. I woke up in a white world, seeing bright lights flash into my eyes. 

The face of a girl spoke to me in the white room. 

“Get out while you can”. She spoke in a whisper. 

The sound “get out” kept playing through my mind. This world is spinning. I can’t see anything except for a white room. I stand up in the world replaying it over and over. 

I say to the girl, “ Where am I? Let me out”. 

“If you can escape the room in 30 minutes you may live. If you can’t, you may die,” spoke the girl. 

I stood up, frightened. 

I start wondering around the white never ending. I look through this peep hole from the door. A water park. I open the door getting flown back. I crawl through the door. Wind pushing me pack. I jump hitting the floor. Pounding hits my head and I start to shake. I stand up shaking. 

Feeling different sensations go over my body. I walk close and closer to a big orange swirly slide. Before I walk closer. There’s a creature. It starts to run. I chase after it. The frightening creature goes down this hole. I go in after it. I wake up in a new world. It’s the room where I first played the game. 

Thinking I have survived I yell, “ Can you hear me?!”

No response. Halo is looking over my body yelling. “Wake up Wake up”! I look at Halo feeling emotionless.  The creature is back. He runs and I chase. I give up noticing he’s gone too far. I found a black room. T

The Debt

I was on a big holiday and did not think he was spending much money but I bought a Ferrari and a helicopter. I was tired so I needed to figure out a way to pay off the 1.2 million dollar debt. 

When I got home I looked at my computer and remembered I needed to do some homework. But I accidentally clicked on the wrong site and I got taken to the government files…. I did not know how this happened but I decided to read them. They said if you went on twinkle.com and type abracabori sobralabrobi you will get taken to the underworld. I did not believe anything so without a second thought I said, “Abracabori sobralabrobi,” 

I started to feel lightheaded. I thought this might’ve just been a coincidence but then my eyes closed. When I woke up in what I guessed was the underworld. I was too shocked to even move but I thought of all the credit card debt I owed so I decided to look around. 

The place was dark and smelled funny like moldy bread but I did not know how to get back either so I just carried on walking.  Then I heard flopping sounds, like a fish on the ground. I looked around the dark corner. The flopping stopped. 

“AHHHHHHHH!” 

I felt a hard slap to the face then I realized there was a fish. My whole face was numb so now I had to figure out how to get past the fish without getting slapped. I thought maybe I could just run as fast as I could so I tried that. Surprisingly I did not get slapped then I heard a buzzing sound like a bee or a fly.

I saw a big shadow appear in front of me. I got scared and started moving backwards but I knew if I moved too far back I would get slapped by the fish. I did not know what to do. 

I could hear the buzzing coming closer. I was thinking of a human with wings then I saw  what there was and there was just an ordinary fly but how was the shadow so big? I tried to slap the fly away but that was a bad idea. 

When I slapped the fly the fly was like a rock. and the fly did not even move. Then the fly launched at me and flew into my face. It felt like someone had thrown a rock at my face. I did not know what to expect. First a fish out of water, now a fly as strong as a human.

 I was not sure if I should keep walking or just stay here but then I thought to be brave and just ran right past the fly. I kept running until I was about 500 meters away. I thought I was safe now but all that running made me thirsty. 

Suddenly I heard walking and it sounded big, not like the fish or the fly but now I was trapped. I could either walk to the fly or the footsteps or I decided to just curl up in a ball and hope for the best.

The creature was a small robot. He started talking to me. This thing seemed a lot nicer so I replied, “Hi! Do you know how to get out of this place or where water is?” 

The robot replied without an answer and said his name was Bobson. 

“Oh hi Bobson. Do you know a way out or where water is?” 

This time Bobson replied, “Follow me. I show you escape or water.” 

I just started following him without replying. I saw light like an outside world. I ran towards the light and found there were hundreds of bitcoins lying there. I knew this was all worth the walk.I said goodbye and thank you to Bobson. I paid off my debt and still had millions of dollars to spare.

Magic Knights’ Last Wish.

I woke up with a vision blurring head aching like it was going to explode. I stood up then instantly fell back down. My body was aching and I think I sprained my ankle. All I could taste was blood as it trickled down my cheek. After a couple minutes of lying down I regained my strength and stood up (just barely though). 

It was so cold down here that I could see myself breathing crystal sparking air glimmered in the moonlight. It would be all worth it when I retrieved the magic crystal from the goblin clan. What would be to make any wish come true It was the last one. When I retrieve it I will make infinite food and water which will create peace for the magic knight clan. I quickly raised my head up still in pain from the drop. I calculated how far I fell. 15 20 no 25 meter drop I was lucky I reinforced my feet with a magic spell feather falling to let me survive. I need to let my magic recover so I can you recovery regeneration and heal myself.

As I was laying on a rock wondering how I will sneak into the goblin’s clan base I heard I echo In the distant Goblin 1 “ yea we should get a raise for needing to make sure no magic knights invade our clan”. Goblin 2 “ that’s what I have been telling everyone no one is going to be able to invade us anyway”. Goblin 1 “ the only place where the clan is not tight is the back corner near the knights throne. Goblin 2 “ shhhhh I heard someone wait. 

(Goblin 2 slowly pulled out his sword rusty and brined with dark magic The corner to magic knight magic). Goblin 2 and 1 slowly peak around the corner to see nothing in their sight? Goblin 1 “ oh well nothing there told you no magic knight would test their luck around here”. Goblin 2 “ I guess you are right oh well Lets go back”. As my Invisible Potain I had storage in my pocket just ran out I breathed a sigh of relief. 

My magic had regained full power as I used recovery regeneration and healed myself. As I sneaked around the back trying to go around the guard I ran into the goblin. He was about to scream so I quickly and silently put my hand over his mouth and snapped his head using my magic neck snapping technique he was knocked out and paralyzed. I slided into the wall using bubble magic and turned the wall behind the king’s throne into bubbles. The crystal was hanging like the chandler above the king’s thrones. All the goblins rushed inside of the castle I thought they found but to my surprise they sat down.

The menacing king sat down on his throne The raised his glass of wine “ cheers to everyone here tonight we invade the magic knight castle and take it over with this magic crystal giving us unlimited power the colour drained from my face as I realize all my friends and family was going to die if I didn’t stop this right now I gather all my courage and blast did a mini fire bullet so no one would see it. As it melted away at the metal chains holding it up. The king was about to 

make his wish come true one chain gone 2 3 it wasn’t melt fast enough King 

“ I wish to become the strongest being of all ti-” SPLAT the crystal violently crushed him into the ground. All the goblins screamed and ran out. I quickly grabbed the crystal in the chaos I created and used my fire magic on my feet to blast quickly out of there. I had a sigh of relief as the magic knights grabbed the crystal and pulled me out of the cave. They let me make the wish because I retrieved it. I wish that every one, every animal and everything that lives on this planet should have world peace.

THE CLEARYS 

BANG! 

The sound of Ivan jumping into a deep pit called ‘League legends’.   This is where everyone came when they finally decided to take on the legends of league. Ivan opened his green eyes and saw three league fields with different courses he needed to complete. 

“Woah, that’s gonna take a longgg time to complete!” Ivan exclaimed.

Ivan excitedly ran  over to the first field and as he climbed up a creaky rope ladder and on to the tackle of death he saw a taniwha come flying  out of nowhere and stick his long red tongue out. As the tongue rolled out a blue water bottle came shooting out and straight into Ivan’s hand. 

“YES!! I caught it, beat that taniwha!” Ivan yelled in excitement

Ivan took this as a great time to drink the water, so he sipped and slopped and slivered the drink all the way down. As the water entered his system he felt his back burning, his hair started going grey and soon his hips gave out. 

He couldn’t call for help. He was underground until his son Nathan came bolting with fear out of nowhere. He hurriedly climbed up the ladder with speed and courage as he ran up. He then came across the tackle of death and as he did the taniwha tongue and rolled out a Macca’s happy meal. This was Nathan’s favourite!

“OI thank taniwha I was as hungry as a  elephant  after all my training!” Nathan exclaimed. As Nathan ate the happy meal his chin grew bigger and longer and even stronger. He then kept running with panic  but then as he went to reach out to his dad his ankle broke in half      

“AHHHHHH MY ANKLE!” Nathan screamed in agony

The Taniwha laughed in a horrific deep voice 

“THIS IS OUR YEAR HAHAHA NOTHINGS GETTING IN OUR WAY!”

As Nathan and Ivan were in pain they saw Jett Come from the rusty grey roof

“YES JETT COME SAVE US WE ARE STUCK AND IN PAIN!” Ivan yelled out to his son. 

“COME ON JETT!” Nathan yelled out to his brother. 

“YOU THINK I’M HERE TO SAVE YOU IM HERE TO DESTROY YOU!” Jett snickered in joy and evilness 

As the taniwha went flying across the roof, Jett saw him and a big grin took away his evil smirk. 

“TANIWHA KEEP THEM DOWN SO I CAN FINISH THIS COURSE!” Jett yelled to the taniwha 

“YES, JETT I GOT YOU, YOU’RE A STRONG WARRIOR!” the Taniwha yelled out. 

Jett started flying determinedly across the courses and he made it to the third and final course! Nathan was as angry as a  bull when it sees red  .  He started to try to get up. He hurriedly pulled his dad Ivan up with him. 

“Nathan, I can’t get up, my hips don’t work,” Ivan exclaimed

“Well, what am I supposed to do, I’ve got no legs?” Nathan said in anger 

Nathan helplessly started to push his dad up and eventually they got up. They saw a way to get to the end before Jett arrived there.

Nathan pushed Ivan up a dodgy rope ladder and they got to a small concrete platform that ran all the way to the end of the course. Nathan picked up his dad, Ivan on his back and used his long and strong chin to angrilybounce along the platform to the end. 

They saw Jett on the last obstacle and had to hop fast. Jett leaped and Nathan and Ivan did at the same time. BOOM! 

“I GOT ON IT FIRST!” Jett exclaimed 

“NO WE DID!” Nathan and Ivan said in unison 

“HAHAHAHA YOU ALL MADE IT AT THE SAME TIME! NATHAN IVAN AND JETT, THE CLEARYS WON!!!!” The Taniwha said in a half evil half annoyed voice

“JETT I TAUGHT YOU TO BRING COURAGE NOT SELFISHNESS WHY DIDNT YOU SAVE YOUR FAMILY!” The taniwha said angrily 

“I WANTED TO WIN!! JUST LIKE YOU SAID I HAD TO!” Jett yelled 

“I WANTED YOU TO WIN IN OUR HEARTS! YOU SHOULD HAVE SAVED YOUR FAMILY!” The taniwha exclaimed 

Nathan and Ivan looked at each other and then at Jett “That’s okay son we all won together as a family no matter what,” Ivan was as proud as a lion when it catches its dinner

“Now let’s go home and do some training. Big game tonight!” Ivan was excited.
