Last Friday we had a triathlon with Mangamuka and Horeke school. There were 8 teams competed in 3 events.

It was tiring as heck but at least there was swimming in it. and are team name was Black Ferns.

My best event was biking because I like biking the best!

 

Last Friday my school had a Triathlon with Mangamuka and Horeke schools

We had 3 things to do: We had to run around my feild and tag your other team mate run to the bikes and ride half way. Turn around and go swim around the pool 3 times and do that twice. You win when your whole team is back and done it twice.

Teams: we had 8 teams of six and seven.

What I liked: I liked how we were all working together and helped each other out.

What I learned: I learned to be nice and help people.

My Team: I had a logo which will be at the bottom my name is Red Bull. I had 8 people in my team. And my teams’ chsnt was 2,4,6,9 whose da BADDEST team alive.

People in my team: Brody, Isla, Lena, Marahi, Makoare, Brooklyn, Hayze, And I.

My fav race: My favrouite race was swimming.

We have been learning how to spot media information around our school

We went on a  Scavenger Hunt  and took photos of stuff around our school

One dark spooky night as I was getting ready  to go to bed  I suddenly heard a whisper telling Me to run .

I got really terrified So I ran out with fear as I left my house I came across a haunted house Then I went closer to take a look. Until a Big pile of trees opened up for me I went to to have a look  Then I seen lights shining from the spooky windows I walked over to the house And the doors opened up for me . but I got really scared so I ran as I can .

I am  from South Africa.

I found this task easy because it is on a computer.

One day I was watching a movie could Jumanji but as I was watching Jumanji I saw that they were going on a adventure.

I thought that I can go on adventure to so I went on amazing

Adventure to find a King Frog. But on my I came across a huge

Castle. I thought I should go in there but on my way in there 

I came across my goal the King Frog. When I approached 

It it looked at it closely It it looked like a fat lazy ugly King  Frog 

But as soon as I could I rented a race car went racing to a

My quick write is a narrative:

                                                                             LUCY & THE BULL

One normal hot day ta huge bull was drained of water and exhausted. As he was walking to the river he came across a lady named Lucy. It was all very strange. Lucy became obsessed with a cow that was just standing there.  The cow was just a normal average cow just standing. The bull walked on slowly past. Lucy took the cow into the barn but the bull was still thirsty so he didn’t want to be stuck in the old barn with hens. As he was walking past the hens glared at him but he didnt care he mumbled and knew he would get revenge just in 3…..2 on 2 he was angrily scraping his foot on the dust getting ready to go ahead. He ran into the hen and  into the fence it exploded into tiny pieces of wood. Lucy was inside baking cookies as she was about to grab them out. Suddenly bits of wood went flying through the window. Lucy zoomed outside but there was no sight of the bull. A few days went by. The fence is fixed and she made sure she wouldn’t get an animal that goes by again.

Kia ora my name is Mia Rose and I am 9 yrs old. I go  to Umawera School and I play basketball in Kaikohe every Wednesday.

I thought I should share my Graffiti art on here. I am not Quite finished my background but it still is starting to look good.  We are researching Banksy and Martin Whatson’s  graffiti art. I am using these ideas and I am going to make one with me pulling the curtain.

                                                                       RUNNING AWAY
Out of nowhere Ava was Running  Through the woods feeling very terrified she race. Being  chased by 5 wolves with a very Pointy nose was not much fun. All of the sudden in front of her there was a big cliff.  The wolves  were still chasing after her so she ran for her life. But when she jumped in loads off lights flashed at her. Bravely she flew down the cliff past the lights from the glow worms and into the water below. She kept  on swimming.  All of the sudden she came across a launch pad she hit it and went flying up in the air. Up up up she went right up by the clouds and then she came flying down through the mountains. When she landed she landed on somebody’s hands. He was very big and looked like a marshmallow.  Until the marshmallow fell off  the cliff  she tired to save him. She Couldn’t save him so she ran back to the woods to face her fears and not be scared off. The  wolves were waiting for her to come back by the water. She Chased all off them off they got scared so they ran. And she got home safely.

 

A terrifying creature was following samantha in the woods. Then her heart started beating as fast as a rocket. Samantha saw a delicious steak bye the choyotei  mixed with an anteater and stole the steak so the choyotei started to  chase samantha. Samantha was being chased by a whole pack of coyotes till she launched of the clife on th the sea then she started walking on the water she was so surprised that she was floating on the sea. Samantha dived down into the sea till she saw a underwater temple with flashing lights that dissolved into a concert that made a party and a rave cave then she swam down even more then she fell down from the skye magicale till she started falling as fast as time but she thought her life was going to end but until she dropped into water that weakened the fall until a big wight marshmello. 

These birds wanted to survive. But the water kept rushing past every morning. 

They were crying “Mum the tree’s are broken” cried the bird. It was because of the lightning

struck until Maui chucked his hook. But it broke until his  brother came with another hook again. But with a stronger hook the thunder went away. Some Minions came rushing down with the lava. Maui chucked a stick but it broke then he got eaten.

The day the banana followed me home

One night I was in the deep dark forest searching for “stuff”.   I was walking, slowly, carefully in the moonlight. Suddenly I started hearing strange eerie noises around me.I looked behind me but nothing was there. I kept walking. Again I heard more strange noises. My friends were trailing along behind but with me. I stopped so they went on up ahead, so I was behind. I decided to try  and to catch up but I was too slow. I ran evan faster but I was still to slow, I called out but they didn’t hear me.I yelled but still they didn’t hear me.  I just had to run all the way all by myself but I didn’t care, I just walked all by myself. Suddenly I heard a huge smash!!! A loud Crash behind me.  I quickly looked behind me.  I saw A … a  banana but he hid behind the tree. After seeing the horrifying banana I ran faster then ever.  In a  flash I finally got home. I went inside and locked the door. I ran to my room and locked my door. But the banana was too fast and he hid under my bed before I could get there.  I was so scared I jump up into my bed, the top bunk. Then I  jumped to the door unlocked it and ran out of the room.I raced to my mum’s room. What next I wondered

This week we have been writing “quick writes” that are narratives.

6:06:2024     THE HAUNTED HOUSE

As Macy wandered in the fallen apart forest, she came by a scary forbidden house. It was as scary as a ghost in your closet. Macy was brave enough to walk inside the haunted house by herself. OH ………….  

Macy was slowly walking up the rotting stairs She got up without falling through, noticing  how creaky they were. She shut her eyes quickly then opened them hoping that things had changed but no  it was still eeri. Macy thought something was going to jump out on her but it was alright. There were spider webs hanging drooping from the mouldy, black old ceiling and the wrinkled couch was full  and covered with dust. As she walked on the creaking dusty floor she caught sight of a suspicious, dusty closet sitting quietly in the corner. She walk up towards the abandoned closet she heard a  man’s voice quietly echoing   ‘I see you’, “I see you” …………. She was horrified. Slowly she disappeared from sight and wasn’t seen again.

*Played Beetle: My partner was Ethan we didn’t win but we were a great team.

*We were authors and used an empty box to motivate our writing – my story has me talking about a cave.

*We had Whaea Rebecca doing stop motion with us today.

*We also did our maths  and problem solving.
