Five Word-Writing!
Today I did a quick 5 Word challenge that I had to do it had to include the words were Announcement virus cheese bubble mask!
I was sitting in the kitchen on a hazy Monday waiting for the announcement.
It was a terrible moment when there was a new virus called the cheese bubble. It was called that because it was highly dangerous. It was that the bubbles would come out of your Butt and it is very contagious. It’s like if you walk past and smell the cheese you could 1 Catch it or 2 Die!
It was pretty bad even the mask couldn’t help.
I heard that this world man didn’t know he had it and he died in less than 10 minutes. It’s crazy!
Succulent And Cacti
Succulent And Cacti
Succulent and Cacti Live In the darkest part of Hamish’s room, Hamish very rarely checks on them and sometimes they get skipped for a drink of water because they live hidden away behind all of the other plants. One day they realised their feet could move in the soil, This meant it was too dry. When they both successfully crawled out of their pots they both realised that all of their feet were very weak so they were very careful while they crawled to the edge of the shelf, Once they got there they made a plan they had to jump into the open sock draw then crawl out. Make a small jump to the desk Swing across the curtains and jump to the window still,Then share a pot with their mates. So They both looked down into the sock draw and Cacti slipped in! Succulent made sure not to land on Cacti because that would hurt Succulent landed right next to Cacti and started pulling Cactus spines out of the socks. Once Cacti was out they made a jump to the desk and soon found out the desk was Burning Hot! they quickly scrambled across the desk and cacti made a jump to the curtains and stuck to it “Jump!” Cacti said Succulent made a hopeless jump over to Cacti Succulent Screamed when he got spied by Cactuses spikes. Cactus was able to roll across the curtains and got as close to the curtains as possible and threw Succulent onto the window still, Succulent stood there ready to catch Cactus as he made a faithful leap and Succulent caught Cactuses hand and pulled him up, They both Jumped into separate pots and said to each other “That was hard” “Totally worth it though!”.
And They All Lived Happily Ever After.

Dog fighting
CALL OF THE WILD RESEARCH.
Dog fighting/gambling
Dog fighting is an inhumane blood sport where dogs who have been bred, conditioned and trained to fight are placed in a pit to fight each other for spectator entertainment and profit. Fights average one to two hours, ending when one of the dogs cannot continue. There are many reasons people are drawn to dog fighting. The most basic is greed. Major dogfight raids have resulted in seizures of more than $500,000, and it is not unusual for $20,000 – $30,000 to change hands in a single fight. They are underfed and under-loved, because there are people who breed dogs just to kill them. 16,000 dogs die each year in organised dog fighting. “The biggest dog fighter in the world lives in your state.” One of those fighters, Mt. Olive’s Harry Hargrove is a “legend” in the dog-fighting world, for instance, who has bred, trained and fought dogs for 40 years.

Karate kid summary
The Karate Kid is a film about a boy that goes by the name Daniel Lurusso. Daniel and his mother go all the way to California to have a fresh start. Daniel’s new start in California he gets himself into a karate tournament with a very special sensei, Mr Miyagi. He had bullies that made him feel the need to learn karate which was why he signed up for the karate tournament. They made a deal if they left Daniel alone until the tournament. With all his training done he won the tournament, a trophy and the respect from others.
My favourite character is Mr Myagi because he comes from a very hard past. Lost family, Wife dead and child while he was in the army. But what I like most about this character is that even though he doesn’t have a family to come back home to he still shows Daniel-san he matters. Cause like you know how people are all abusive, mean and aggressive because of their past. Well Mr Myagi doesn’t show that to anyone that doesn’t deserve it.
An event which made me laugh was when Mr Miyagi took Daniel-san out on the boat and Daniel-san had to stand on the tips of the boat and control his balance. They started talking and then Daniel-san said something that made Mr Miyagi want to make him fall off the boat. Daniel-san fell into the water and that was very funny.
I would recommend this text to other teenagers because it shows you that moving might not be such a bad idea. Sticking up for someone that made you feel welcomed and getting a hiding shows you what integrity is. But most of all it shows you that fighting isn’t good for you and for them. I recommend this text to other teenagers because it could open your eyes to this world and make you realise more about life.
We have also been learning about different film terms and techniques.
My teacher showed us what each of these shots mean. She gave us different meanings to different shots and made us learn what they were. After she finished teaching she wanted us to find different photos of each shot to see if we understood what she meant. We weren’t allowed to copy her photos, no, she wanted us to find them ourselves. So we did and here are some photos of each camera shot I found.
Questions about space suits.
1. Why is a cooling system necssary?
Because inside the space suit is a ontained atmosphere and withou a cooling system, the astronaut could overheat from his own body heat.
2. How do astronauts deal with sun in their eyes?
The visors on their spacesuits have a coating on them to protect against uv light and strong, unflitered rays from the sun. That’s why you can’t see the astronaut’s face, usually.
The visors are made from polycarbonate plastic with a thin layer of gold. This blocks out most rays because it’s so dense. Lead is also dense, but we can’t use that, for obvious reasons.
3. Why is a space suit needed in space?
I don’t know, maybe: Unfiltered sunlight, uv rays, solar wind, debris flying past faster than a motorbike, extreme temerature changes from 255 degrees celsius to -145 degrees celsius, or even just the fact that there is no oxygen, or no anything really, in the void of space, so all your organs will be sucked out due to the fact that you will have air in your lungs as you exit the spaceship. You’ll then become a floating corpse, drifted off into spae, getting cooked by the extreme heat of the solor rays, not filteded by the atmosphere, then deep frozen once you go into shade. Lovely.
4. Why are tools and equipmet tethered to the astronaut?
Because if they’re not, they’ll go drifting off into space, as there’s no gravity to hold them down.
5. What safety measures are taken to keep the astronaut safe?
Make sure they’re in a space suit, make sure the space suit is functioning properly, keep them tethered to the spaceship, because theres no way to get back to it if you drift away, and most importantly, keep them focused.
Prince Rupert’s Drop
How is a Prince Rupert’s Drop Made?
A Prince Rupert’s Drop is made when you get molten glass and drip a bit of that molten glass into cold water, where it hardens to form the tadpole-like shape.
The Prince Rupert’s Drop is very strong and tough in a way, but is also very very delicate at the same time.
What do I mean by its tough and delicate at the same time?
Well the reason why it is both tough and delicate is the way that its formed. When the molten glass drips into the cold water, the outside of the droplet suddenly goes hard. As the inside of the droplet starts to cool down it tries to pull in against the outside layer, but the outside layer has already gone hard and is set in that place. And because it can’t pull in the outside layer it just puts more strain on itself. Because there is so much strain on the inside of the droplet that strain actually makes it harder and stronger.
You could try all you wanted to break the head of the droplet, but it wont break. you could hit it with a hammer, you could even try to break it from shooting it with a gun. But you will find that you won’t be able to make it do so.
The way that these droplets actually break is if anything were to happen to the tail of the droplet, if you were to cut or snap the tail, it would send a reaction like a chemical explosion, except the difference is its not releasing chemical potential energy, it releases something called mechanical strain energy.
(Let’s say that you cut the tail) From the point of the tail that you cut on the droplet it sends a reaction down the rest of the droplet, and the Prince Rupert’s Droplet explodes at a speed that isn’t visible for the human naked eye.
On average the Prince Rupert’s Drop will explode at a speed of about 1,900 meters per second (up to 480 km/h).
And that is how a Prince Rupert’s Drop is formed and how to make it explode.
If you were to test this here is a few safety requirements:
