This term we have been learning about volume and algebra, negatives and positives. We have also been writing about a book called Kensukes kingdom. For PBL we have been focusing on how to survive on a island.
Recently For maths we have been learning how to find the full volume of a cuboid, and how you need to times the width by the length by the height. Earlier this term we were looking at how to dived and times big numbers. Also we were tought about algebra and how to figure that out. link
For writing we have been reading Kensukes kingdom, its a book about a boy who fell of a boat and had to survive on a island. We had to write about each chapter. we were given writing challenges to include in our writing to make it more fun and interesting. link
For PBL we had a choice to do shelter building, survival board games or make scrog-gin, (like trail mix but kinda different). I made the scrog-gin it had lots of different things like (popcorn, choc chips, cereal, chick peas, cranberries, dried bananas etc.) it was really good and after we made it we had to bring some out to the people that were doing the shelter building.
