Today I did a expirement about air resistance.I had to get a light object and a heavy object.So I used my pencil case that is heavy and my mouse pad which is light.Picture of my mouse pad and pencil case below.
I tested droping them in the air.I dropped them in the postion they are normally in so I know how fast they fall normally.My pencil case dropped faster with a time of 0.24 seconds and my mouse pad 0.38 seconds.The pencil case fell faster because it catchs less air and because it is heaveir so it falls a bit faster.The reason that my mouse pad fell slower was because it caught more air and its a bit lighter so it falls slower.If there was no air that would mean there is no air resistance so they would both touch the ground at the same time.
