In Te Ngahere we’ve been trying out some of the Summer Learning Journey activities. In one of the activities we had to redesign a book cover for our favourite books. I did Lord of the Rings. In our drawings we couldn’t copy an existing book cover for our books; we had to make draw them from scratch. Some people did theirs digitally and other drew them on paper. I drew mine on paper. I found it difficult to get Legolas’s face right, but otherwise the rest was easy enough. If we do this again i will probably not spend so much time on detail that I’m not going to be happy with.
