On Friday 16 June we went on a excursion to the North New Brighton beach. We learnt about the sand dunes. I had a lot of fun, my favourite part was when we built the mini sand dunes. The things that go on the sand dunes are called sand ladders to protect the sand dunes. The green netting is also to help the sand dunes but they are to help the sand dunes protect us from tsunami and stop too much sand getting to the sand dunes.
