Task – Watch the video of Matsuo Basho, then write four facts you have learnt about him.

Basho was a Japanese poet born in 1644. After his hut burned down he started traveling between 1684-1689. Throughout the 5 years he traveled he had 5 journeys. He died on 28th of November 1694.
He was Japan’s most famous poet because He was important in the Genroku Period, the high point of the Japanese resistance.
