Yesterday on Thursday we had a haka waiata whanau challenge where each whanau had to perform first a waiata then a haka for Maori Language Week. The waiata we had to sing was Keteri E and our haka was the schools haka. We had to practise for block 2 and 3 from Monday – Wednesday so we could win the challenge. I really enjoyed it and all our hard work paid off in the end when Hotorua won which was the whanau I was in. The photo below is our class with the trophy of our victory.
