What tasks do service dogs perform for anxiety
- Pick up on signs and symptoms of anxiety attacks before they start.
- Distract you during an anxiety attack so that you can calm down.
- Apply physical pressure with its body to help calm you down.
- Warn others to give you space.
- Get your medication during an anxiety attack.
Can service dogs wear a muzzle
Can a Service Dog wear a muzzle while they are working? A Service Dog cannot be required to wear a muzzle in order to enter areas that don’t allow pets. A Service Dog can legally wear a muzzle if their handler wants (some handlers use muzzles because it makes strangers less likely to pet their dog without asking).
