How To Cope With Stress! (Harold’s Class)

Hello, goodmorning, goodafternoon and goodnight readers! Today we ventured into the land of stress in harold’s class. We learnt about what causes stress, what happens when you are stressed and finally good ways to deal with stress. First we put down what we already knew/thought about what stress is by writing it down on clipboards. We wrote on 2 clipboards in a group of 5, the 2 clipboards asked us what did stress sound like and what does stress feel like? Then we learnt about organs. First we learnt about the heart and what it does. We learnt that the heart pumps blood and oxygen/red bloodcells to different parts of the body. Next we learnt about the digestive system and the body parts in it. Finally we learnt about the brain. We learnt about the frontal lobe and the limbic system. We learnt that the frontal lobe controls your thoughts and is a leading factor in your problem solving and everyday thought processes. Then we found out about the limbic system and how it can affect the frontal lobe. When you feel stressed your frontal lobe is negatively affected. Your thought process is slowed down and as a result you usually end up making bad decisions. Then once that was finished we streched and got into a fun game to let the information we were just given to set into our brains. It was a hand cooardination game that we utterly failed in. Finally we learnt about a few ways to cope with stress! My personal favourites were. Play your favorite game, take a drink of water and finally listen to some music. I personally like to mix both listening to music and playing games together to make it more relaxing. If you are feeling stressed you can try harold’s favourite coping method. Find 5 things you can see, 4 things you can touch, 3 tings you can hear, 2 things you can smell. When you are finished you will realize that you feel more relaxed because you were able to take your mind off of what was stressing you. I hope this helps and I’ll see you the next time I blog! and with that, Goodbye, goodmorning, goodafternoon and goodnight readers!
