This term we have been learning about persuasive writing and what it means. Persuasive writing means writing or explained your POV(Point of view) of what you want. e.g can you mow the lawn I will pay you back.
In this persuasive writing I will be putting a rhetorical question and simile.
What is a rhetorical question you might ask. A rhetorical question is a question readers don’t have to answer.
what is a simile? A simile is using “like” or “As” to describe something e.g As brave as a lion.
The purpose of the persuasive writing below is what I am persuading for a better allowance.
Some children do chores some for the money and some because they are bored, asked or want to help parents or caregivers around the house. When children do chores most of the time they get their allowance at the end of the week. Do you want your children to be lazy?. In my opinion I believe that we should get around $30 for chores.
Most children complain that they have to do chores and hate doing chores while some can’t stop doing chores and love it. Some chores could involve making your bed, doing dishes, the dishes are like a washing machine but with hands. cleaning your room, and cleaning up your toys. This is only a few chores that some people do.
When children get their allowance done or finish their chores they are bouncing off the walls so happy. Parents get to relax and watch their children clean. But its not always the case. Do you want your children hiding everything?
When children do chores they clean and make the house spotless. The parents are super happy and would give their children a fair amount of chores and money. Money is as exciting as toys.
In conclusion I think all children should get $20-$40 max and as long as they do their chores it shouldn’t be a big issue.
