24. Prefixes week 10 – ‘Poly’

Kia ora, reader.

This is my first post about prefixes. Today room 9 (The class I’m in) did some prefixes. This week our prefix is the term ‘Poly’. (Poly is a prefix meaning “Many”) What we did is match the word with their meaning, so basically had to drag the boxes with the meanings on it to the correct word. I’ve done good research on all the words and I myself confirm that I’m 100% correct with the meanings. Polygon: A solid figure with many sides. Polysyllabic: having many syllables. Polydactyl: having many fingers or toes (More than the normal number) Polygraph: A machine that writes down many different changes in the body while a person answers the questions. Polyhedron: A closed plane figure with many straight lines that connect. Polyglot: A person who knows how to speak, read or write many languages. Polyclinic: A hospital that treats many different kinds of diseases. Polychromatic: Having many different colours. Yeah, that’s all. Thank you for reading. If there’s a problem, something you didn’t understand or a typo, please report them to me in the comments and I’ll update you. But if there’s something you liked about this post please inform me in the comments (You don’t need to), I’d be happy to reply! Anyway, have a nice day and God bless.
