WALT: Reorganise information to gain an understanding of the text.
Hello dear peeps, (people).
For reading this week we are all learning about amazing historical figures! As always we have the choice to choose who we want to learn about and I chose Amelia Earhart. There were a few others we could pick as well, such as Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, Walt Disney, Martin Luther King Jr and Anne Frank. Our first create task was about writing down information about your chosen person into a “Let me tell you about..” Sheet. This information had to be about their DOB, Key Life Events, Achievements, etc. For our second create task we had to create a Research map about said person and put a bunch of facts about them into the boxes. I chose to do mine on paper in my book. Our third create task was just combining create task 1 and 2 to make a DLO on Canva about our famous person. For my DLO I made it into a video which was actually pretty random as I don’t actually like making videos on Canva because they’re just not that enjoyable.

This was by far the most interesting reading session I have ever gone through considering I absolutely despise reading and I would give away a limb to get rid of it. I enjoyed this because I actually learnt a lot of stuff and it required me to read through the book a lot of times. Also it was very informative about Amelia. Next week I am going to try and read the book about Anne Frank because I believe that she is an absolute icon.
