Hello everyone! Today I will be sharing my reflection in ESOL this week – week 8.
What was the activity? The activity was filling out a vocabulary table that includes a focus word, its definition, the word in the language of my parents, its synonym, and what part of speech it is. We also made a book in Book Creator about a story where me and my sister had a conflict.
What did you do? I finished filling out the vocabulary table as well as my book.
What were the learning intentions? The learning intention was to increase my vocabulary knowledge, to write a story, and create a book.
What have you learned? How to use Book Creator and the definitions, synonyms and part of speech of words such as exhausted, curious, explore, investigate, notice, prefer, and mumble.
Were you able to achieve the learning objectives? Why? I was already familiar with the words so I think I already achieved the learning objective, and I finished creating the book in the given time.
Did you make any mistakes that you can learn from? I didn’t make any mistakes as it was not a very hard task.
What have you learned that can be used in real-life situations? (In your life, at school, in your relationships, etc) The words in the vocabulary table were useful, especially in school as we do a lot of writing in school. Learning about how to use Book Creator is also useful because we might use it again in other subjects in school.
Thank you for reading. Have a great day!
