Hi this week on Tuesday we went on a school trip to the Groynes and learned about freshwater, freshwater is one of the things we have been learning about in reading. At the trip first we crossed a swing bridge which was cool to sway across the bridge and then we went on a bit of a walk and learnt about the trees and plants on the walk. That walk lead us to a lake where we learnt about insects and invertebrates. After we got into groups and we got to look for invertebrates in the water and investigated them with a magnifying glass and other tools. I was with 2 of my friends Ivy and Evie and we found lots of water boatmen and we found a damselfly nymph which was really cool because we were the only group to find one. After that we played a game which demonstrated the food chain in the lake. There is a picture below of the Groynes below.
