Matariki Market Day was a resounding success, filled with excitement, creativity, and community spirit. The children were super excited about the whole process of making their own products, advertising them, and finally selling them on Market Day. Their enthusiasm andhard work truly paid off as a large number of whanau and family turned up to support the event.
Every class participated with great energy and creativity. We stood out with our innovative products made from waste materials. We sold unique wall hangings made from wooden forks and cardboard, adorable bunny planters and pencil holders made from plastic bottles, and delicious popcorn. The children’s creativity and commitment to sustainability were evident in every product they made.
The atmosphere was electric as children eagerly spent their money on different products from across the school. It was heartwarming to see the joy and pride on their faces as they engaged in the buying and selling process.

I am incredibly proud of my children for their hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm. Matariki MarketDay was not just a fundraising event, it was a celebration of our students’ talents. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us. We will cherish the memories of this special day forever.
