Intro
Hello welcome to another blog. This week I am posting early, because this week I am not at school. I am posting about my holiday in the UK. We had to travel on two planes. Christchurch – Singapore 10.5 hours, Singapore – London 14 hours. I was so jet lagged, I nearly fell asleep waiting for the plane to London.
Christchurch – Singapore Plane
In Christchurch my auntie drove me and my parents to the airport. In Christchurch we have a very nice airport for the size of our city. We had a flight to Singapore and it had a little bit of turbulence. I had a decent amount of the food (not all of it because I didn’t like it) on the plane. The bread and cheese and crackers were the best. I watched a lot of movies. My favourite to watch was the Barbie movie.
Singapore – London Plane
The Singapore airport was huge! There was a big coffee shop that went up to the ceiling with different types of coffee. There was a Lego store, a bunch of travel stores, and heaps of restaurants. There was also a koi pond which was my favourite. There was also butterflies garden inside the airport. It is very unique to have butterflies living inside the airport! We were in Singapore airport for five hours.
The plane to London was an A380. The bathrooms were very disgusting by the end of the flight. Mum and dad hadn’t let me sleep at all on the first plane and at the airport. So when I got into my seat, I can only remember taxiing away from the airport before I fell asleep for 7 hours.
Conclusion
My trip was amazing! But I think I prefer to be on land. We arrived in London early in the morning. We collected our bags and were greeted at the airport by my Nana and Grandpa. I ran over to them and hugged them really tight.
We had a really long car trip from the London airport to my grandparents home in Old Basing. I wasn’t allowed to sleep in the car. I was also very squished by all the bags and people! But it has been really nice to see my Nana and Grandpa again after not seeing them for a year (photos linked below!)
