Hello Bloggers!
Welcome back to yet another rushed blog post about my create tasks!
Either way I’m glad you guys came back to my blog because I’m trying to get better at blogging each week, as you may or may not be able to tell I’m not great at it just yet but I’m trying and I’m glad that people still read my blogs
Now that all the mushy still is out of the way.. Let’s get on with the reason we’re here, my create tasks!
But wait! We still have quite a bit to go before all that, we have to go through my journal story oh and the WALT of course! which reminds me that it’s to skim read to locate specific information, if you were wondering what the WALT was.
Since the journals change every two weeks, the journals have a completely different theme. Sort of, it’s still about the Olympics mind you but this time around the journals are more so about the sports that are played at the Olympics. For example the journal story that I chose was focused on the sport tennis. It talks about things from different people that made history to the history of tennis itself!
Now that you have a taste of what my create tasks are about I think it’s time for you to finally see my create tasks themselves!
My first create task is still the same from last week but if you don’t remember the create task was about noting down five different facts about the journal story that I chose, so in my case it would be the history of tennis, famous players, any obstacles they went through and the evolution of the sport itself.
Now last week I did all this on a google doc… What it was the easiest! but since we aren’t allowed to do the same DLO twice in row I did this on a Canva slideshow. And that’s about the gist of my first create task, so without further ado here it is!
I hope that the slideshow was informative, if not please leave a comment and let me know how I can make it better!
Moving right along to my second create task.
This week was a bit different from the previous two because Mrs. Lee ( my reading teacher) decided to assign one specific create task for the entirety of the reading group for the week, and do you know what create task she chose out of the six? She chose to assign us all to do the fifth one on the board, which if you didn’t know was a create task involving a custom made shoe for the sport we were doing. And if you remember I chose tennis.
Now I know that tennis shoes exist but I couldn’t visualize that it was a tennis shoe other than just writing it all over the shoe, so I had to get creative.
So before I explain myself for the monstrosity that I am about to show you, just remember that I am in no way shape or form an artist so please don’t come for me
I don’t think I can stall this any longer so at last here is my second create task.

Now, I know it looks like a mess but I have a good explanation for it! You see the shoe was meant to represent a tennis ball hence the colour palette and the stripes. It was the only thing I could come up with as there aren’t many design choices that make it clear that this is a tennis shoe. So this is what you end up with..
And now we come here yet again.
I know, I know! Another blog post with only two create tasks, but hey I’m already trying to get better at actually posting each week can you really expect me to be perfect this soon? Well I hope you thought no, because there is no way that is humanly possible (for me at least) So I promise I am trying to improve on my blogging skills just bare with me and hey maybe you’ll even be surprised with the blog posts I’ll write in the future.
Refection:
I think that this week’s create tasks were normal but I only have one question ( aimed towards Mrs. Lee that is), why did we have to do the shoe create task specifically? seriously I still don’t know the answer to that and it’s the end of the week. But other than that the week was pretty much the same!
That’s all from me this week bloggers!
And always remember,
Stay Sharp!
