WALT: Compare and evaluate information and ideas across texts
Hey guys! This week for novel studies, we had to read from the chapter the summer table to names. For the book we are reading for novel studies, we are reading wonder, and it is about a boy called August Pullman with treacher collins syndrome, and he is often treated differently by other students, but in the end he gets accepted by his appearance.
Scaffolding, complementary and challenge texts
For the scaffolding text, it was just the online book version of wonder, and for the complementory text, it was an interview with a child’s parents, and the child had treacher collins syndrome, and for the challenge text, it was an article about treacher collins syndrome.
Create task must do 1
For the first create task that was a must do, we had to examine treacher collins syndrome, the genetic disorder that auggie has, summarised the information from the supporting texts by making a poster or video, and I chose to make a poster, anyway, that is all so, BYE!
