Process and outcome – Y11

I began by discovering a video on YouTube of a robotic arm that I liked the look of and followed the method of process and outcome which I ran into all sorts of roadblocks along the way during 3D printing and more, this consisted of mechanical and software errors during the usage of 3d printer slicers and the 3d printers themselves.

One error I kept running into was the stopping and starting of the prints, we had to stop and start the prints as they could not run through the night because they had a high chance of starting a fire. Stopping and starting was our way of getting around this issue, but it only made another for the overall project where there were weak layers in the spots where the print had been stopped making the prints very easy to split of snap down that line once completed.
