🌏History of Earth 🧻

Good afternoon my readers,

Aim-  Make a timeline of Earth using a toilet paper roll and unroll it across the classroom. We got into two groups one group full of boys and the second group full of girls.

Method- Each square is equivalent to 12.5 million years, each billion years takes up 80 squares.

Results- Take a picture

Discussion- Why are there big gaps between events?  The gaps represent how long to events happened and how far apart they were. Evolution takes quite a while sometimes.

When did humans come into existence? Humans first came into the world around 300,000 YA ago.

When did the most damage to the earth occur? Since 1760 we have used fossil fuels, with manufacturers coming more into play and deforestation of animals’ homes and plant life for machinery and other gas products and fossil fuels burning.

Why do you think that has happened, what caused it? I believe solely to use of fossil fuels, deforestation, and climate change are what causes most of the damage to the earth plus the increase in human lives is damaging the earth.

Do you think we have a right to destroy the earth, considering we have only been on the planet for 100,000 years?

It is 50/50 because we need a lot of the stuff that is damaging the earth to survive day by day, we should try not to use too much plastic and recycle, and if we cut trees down for tables, etc we could plant a seedling in the place of the fallen tree and it can regrow. We might end up damaging most of Earth’s natural resources for us and its climate but we can’t not destroy the planet itself so we have to try.

Thank you for reading my blog post please comment and have an amazing day
