Our Practise for the run
When Term 4 started all the seniors (Year 5 and 6 and some of the year 4’s in the senior classes) met up together at a small tree near Betty Montford (kindergarten). We have small pep talks together and then each year group split up and takes turns running around the field 3 times or more and then back. Honestly I was pretty quick and I think everybody else did a great job running.
The Fun Run and some Information.
On the 7th of September 2024 was our School Fun Run. The School Colour Fun Run is a fundraising system for the heart foundation and is available for all schools (that are In primary. I think.). This special event makes all my fellow students very excited and ecstatic, But not everyone likes to run, Some people just enjoy walking and getting sprayed.
The Fun Run.
The Fun Run started at 1:00Pm When the juniors started to run (Year one and two). I think it took the juniors fifteen to twenty minutes for them but they did very well for some youngsters. As the juniors were running the middles went into a small gazebo and waited for all the juniors to cross the finish line. Soon enough the thrilled middles (year three and four) were ecstatic about if they were going to be in the top ten. All of the students were really determined to get in the top ten. The seniors watched the middles and cheered them and I think the seniors occasionally wanted some high-fives but then soon, It was the seniors’ turn. For me it was pretty intense and somewhat extreme but that was really not the case. As I was putting all my effort into running my small snail legs I was making good progress. Everybody was going fast and I loved getting sprayed by powdered colours but the water was um… very, very, very, uncomfortable but it was worth it. The race was a favourite by nearly all the students and this special event marks why this school has people learning and having fun.
