Hello and welcome to my blog post,today I will be sharing my thoughts of an event that happened on Wednesday the 20 November,the cultural speech competition,this event is for people that can speak more than one language and share what their culture means to them/you.
After the bell rang and everyone went home,Whaea Leones class stayed to help pack for the speech competition at 5:00,a lot of us were playing hide’n’seek while others stayed in the class,a few people helped whaea set the speech competition in the learning commons,Me,Eliza and Paula taped some decorations on the chairs and walls to make it look more cultural,after we finished I finally began to see people coming in,Seni was here helping his brother and Suvali’s Mum was here,at about 6:30 we started the first speech competitor,Mayesa Naaz,she spoke in Hindi and it was beautiful.
