My favourite Kakariki bird species is the Antipods Island Parakeet. The reason I chose it is because it’s pretty and the eyes are really adorable. But the mice that compete for food was a threat for them, also did you know that on Antipod Island they may survive for up to ten years? They like to eat fruits and insects. The colours of their feathers are green and also a bit of blue. That’s why I like it. Also When they sing it is so calming.
