Today at school I learnt about powhiri and the marae. I learnt about the marae because on the 8th of April me and my class are heading to a marae for camp so we have to learn about what we can and can’t do and what we do and when we do it. We also learnt about how we do powhiri when we are in the marae . We stand together at the entrance of the marae waiting for the call of a woman telling us to walk in behind her.
