This week, we have been learning to divide into parts. For example, 224 divided by 7.
For this to work, we needed to know our multiples of four. We used our knowledge of our ten times tables first and asked, How many sevens go into 224?. Our first split will be a multiple of ten, which is 210 (7×30), and we have 14 left over, so again we asked how many sevens make up 14
Therefor our answer will be 244÷7=30+2=32 because 210 ÷7=30; 244÷7=32
