Last two weeks my Esol class and I learned new vocabulary words.
In this activity, I worked on learning new vocabulary. I filled in the gaps and then wrote my own sentences using the new words. The learning intention was to understand the vocabulary, practice spelling, and learn their meanings. The most challenging part was writing a sentence that included at least five of the words because they were not from the same topic. I solved this by thinking outside the box. Through this activity, I learned new words and their meanings. I was able to achieve the learning objectives because I practiced well, especially while playing Quizlet, which was so fun. I also learned a lot about my language skills. I improved my reading, learned new words from listening, and practiced pronunciation. I made some mistakes, but I corrected them with my teacher’s help. Next time, I will focus more and be careful with my work to improve even further.
